Spring Bear Kit
Spring Bear hunts pose quite a bit of uncertainty when it comes to conditions and weather. This kit below will have you covered from early season conditions where snow is present to late season when the temps have risen, and sweat management is your priority. Start with some Aerowool Wick Boxers and a set of Wick baselayers to keep your body comfortable (you can drop the Boot Top Bottoms later in the season). The Sawbuck Brush pant checks all the boxes for bear hunting; it's breathable, durable, and will provide your legs with extra protection for thick brush, downed timber, and craggy debris-filled avalanche chutes. For mid-layers, reach for our best-selling Kiln Hoody and Sawtooth Vest. For insulation, the Brooks Down Sweater is quite handy and extremely packable (stash it in your pack until needed). For outerwear, the Boundary Stormtight Pants and Vapor Stormlight will fend off heavy squalls and high winds, plus they're clutch for long glassing sessions. If you'll be encountering heavy rain day after day (like in the PNW), go with our SEAK Rainwear set. For accessories, our Brambler Gaiters will fend off debris and water from entering your boots. Try our Triad 2.0 midweight socks, Tag Cuff Beanie, Talus Fingerless Gloves, and Aerowool Neck Gaiter to keep your extremities happy.
