I loved using these! It fit me perfectly and kept me warm. Would 100% buy again or recommend to a friend!
Price tag was well worth it. Love the front pockets and the hip vents to dump heat on warm days.
Buy. Best pants i have used. Same size ordered as Kuiu pro pants with much better fit for an athletic but stocky person and with much more robust yet comfortable knee pads. The feel is difficult to describe, but the stretch is incredibly comfortable and the waterproof seat and knees are a life saver. Pockets are thoughtfully laid out and ergonomic. Cloth and zipper are high quality. One thing i would change is adding a mesh layer to the vents in the thighs, but this is minor. Using for early season Wisconsin whitetail hunting.
Great well built pants, tough and durable. Held up great on a sheep hunt in northern BC. Fit is spot on and knee pads are great. Full zip side vents are a game changer and hard to find in competitor pants. Only two critiques - 1) the suspenders are great but the plastic clips that connect to the pants sit right under the hip belt of my pack and create a slight pressure point on my hips, would be great to find a way to connect the suspenders that is lower profile, and 2) this is minor but the embroidered logo is an odd choice on a pair of pants made to have the sh#t kicked out of them through brush, etc. not really an issue as it’s just aesthetic but the logo is mangled on mine. All in all, one of the best pieces of FL gear I own. Pair some gaiters with these and you have a bomber setup for brush bashing.
Put these pants under your waders, those knee pads are real nice. I recently had the good fortune of fishing char in the high Arctic, also had the misfortune of falling through the ice into the ocean. I was wearing these pants and several firstlite wool layers, got out of the water quick but had to walk about a mile and a half in just over freezing temps back to camp. By the time I got there the layers had shed most of the water, I was damp but warm. Legitimately impressive.
Love these pants. They hold up and the zippers on the side are exactly why I've been looking for
Size on the waist runs just a tad on the small side. I buy all my pants at a 36, but these are pretty snug, I am hoping for a little stretch as i wear them in. These for sure seem like they are built for the long haul, they feel extremely durable, and have light and comfortable feel when they are on. I bought these mainly as a walking pant to deal with brush and pickers in southern wisconsin. I think they will be a bit noisy if you intend to wear them for a tree stand hunt.
The fit is spot on. I've used these pants through spring and summer in brushy and thorny southern woods, mostly clearing trails and blind maintenance. The pants have held up to a lot of abuse. They get a little warm in higher temps which is expected, but the long zippered vents are great to cool down. Kneepad options are what brought me to these pants, but they've turned out to be a great off-season option as well.
These pants are strikingly well made. I grabbed these for the early deer/first bear seasons in MA and they look to be exactly what I wanted.
