Any backcountry hunter will tell you that carrying a solid rain jacket is a necessary evil but nobody enjoys the added weight of your average rain jacket. We designed the Vapor Stormlight Rain Jacket as a no frills, bomber ultralight rain jacket that can keep you dry without filling your pack. At a featherweight 12 ounces, this hooded two layer rain jacket is the best of both worlds. Like its big brother, the SEAK Stormtight Jacket, the Vapor features the Turret Hood and waterproof zippers.

Waterproof but not durable

I used this jacket in spike camp this year on a MT elk hunt. We were in the backcountry and were breaking branches for a fire. My coat apparently rubbed on a branch and tore. I was surprised that it was not more durable; however, it IS a lightweight jacket. I like the packability of this coat and it does keep you dry, I guess I just wish it were a tad more durable. The hole is patched with gorilla tape. So far, so good.

Best rain coat I've ever owned

I needed a great rain suit for Oregon hunting. It rains a lot here. This jacket is light weight, comfortable, and completely DRY! I used it during a four day constantly raining elk hunt and was dry the entire time. It does a great job of blocking the wind too.

The perfect shell for hunting!

Firstly I don’t review products. EVER. I just don’t want to spend the time to write a post - so me doing this is a big deal.

I bought my husband the Seak Storm Pant and matching Seak Jacket for hunting. We live in Canada so the price with exchange was steep on this set (upwards of $750+ CAN). My husband is 5’9” muscular build. We ordered size Medium in both but the pants were too small so we had to exchange (was a big pain in the butt as FedEx made some mistakes). This company is amazing! Not only were they patient, they kept me updated on the exchange process every step of the way. the Large pair of Seak pants fit wonderful.

We have used them multiple times and then the inevitable happened - we got a deer! CUE Wife freak out at blood everywhere all over the pants - OCD wife cries at the thought of spending $350 on pants and they are stained within 1 month (of course my husband doesn’t care). But OMG 1 wash and everything came out and they look brand new. This is the best set of hunting gear we’ve ever boughten, great fabric, washes well and keeps him dry and warm in the Pacific North west (British Columbia)! This is a must buy set! Great customer service and company! 5 stars

Dry as a California stream.

This jacket keeps you dry. It is light weight and compresses very small in my pack. Might not breath as good but I tend to overheat fast. It is a little on the noisy side but I don’t know how much more quiet you can make a rain shell. I would highly recommend it. It seems to hold up well while bushwhacking through the forest.

Stay dry

Im not a big fan of wet weather gear. It always seemed to just seal water in and turn the inside into a sauna. Recently took this on a fishing trip rained most of a day. Stayed dry and cool even at 90+degrees outside. Quieter and still lighter weight than any other WWG i have worn . Same goes for the Boundary pants.
