Vapor Stormlight Ultralight Rain Jacket

2.5-Layer Waterproof Construction

$250.00

Color/PatternFirst Lite Fusion

Any backcountry hunter will tell you that carrying a solid rain jacket is a necessary evil but nobody enjoys the added weight of your average rain jacket. We designed the Vapor Stormlight Rain Jacket as a no frills, bomber ultralight rain jacket that can keep you dry without filling your pack. At a featherweight 12 ounces, this hooded two layer rain jacket is the best of both worlds. Like its big brother, the SEAK Stormtight Jacket, the Vapor features the Turret Hood and waterproof zippers.

Pure GARBAGE

In the last 2 years i have spent thousands of dollars on firstlite gear. This jacket is just like every other article of clothing they sell, overpriced poor quality trash that is marketed extremely well by popular hunters who mind you get this garbage for free. If you hunt anything besides open country do not purchase this jacket as it will not hold up. It comes in contact with any sort of brush and you will have holes instantly. I have yet to own a piece of gear from this company that hasnt fallen apart or been comprised within the first several trips outside. This is made for people who hunt 1 week a year and other then that are not in the woods. If you spend any significant amount of time in the woods do yourself a favor and do not spend your money on this trash.

Fit Comments: So like other reviews about fit they stated that this fit's small. After talking with some CS Staff they suggested that a medium which I am in everything might be too tight so I went with a large and am extremely happy I did, fit is perfect

Amazing Lightweight Rain Jacket

Picked up this and the Boundary pants as my lightweight backcountry rain gear. This jacket is amazing light and comfortable, I've been wearing it out as a daily wear jacket during heavy rainfalls and even when dumped on it doesn't stick to your base layers or skin. You don't get that damp feeling which is awesome. It folds down very well taking up no room at all in your pack saving you on space and weight for all that extra meat.

A Great Lightweight Truck Jacket

I purchased this jacket to fill "lightweight rain jacket" hole in my inventory. When I first tried it on it felt a bit small but after moving around in it it felt a lot more comfortable. The material is very lightweight and it stuffs pretty well (I can comfortably fit it in a hydration backpack or a cargo pocket). I appreciate the seamed zippers on the front and on the pockets, which helps keep moisture out. The draws for the waist are located inside the pockets which lets you adjust pretty easily and avoids snags on brush (something I experience with waist draws on other jackets). Whatever they did to structure to the hood helps keep it in place in strong winds.

This piece does exactly what it sets out to do, serving as both light-weight rain jacket and light-weight windbreaker. It doesn't provide much insulation while stationary but, man alive, does it warm you up if you're moving. On a recent trip I put this over a short-sleeved t-shirt and had to remove it twenty minutes later because I was sweating hard underneath, even in 45-degrees, light rain, and moderate winds. It's not going to hold up in a monsoon or do much to keep you warm if you're just sitting around but that's not what it was intended to do.

It has earned a permanent place in the backseat of my truck as a just-in-case on day-trips or even just out-and-about around time.

Great pack jacket

Used this in Colorado elk hunting in Sept. Really light, packs up tight, and kept the rain out. Haven't used it in a down pour, but it keeps light showers off my cloths. Always in my pack.

Best packable rain gear

I use this all the time for backpack hunting. No matter what its always in my pack. Not the most durable rain jacket but thats not what it was designed for. Wanted to wait a solid time before giving a review, after 2 years of owning it I can say it has held up especially after being stuffed in and out of my pack for years. A little on the loud side but other than that I cant ask for any better. Thanks FL!
