Cold glassing temps, unforgiving precipitation, and blistering winds are out of mind, allowing you to focus on harvesting a rifle season trophy as the weather becomes less and less cooperative. Additionally, making critical movements and final approaches in the Uncompahgre Foundry Jacket is no sweat (literally). The breathable laminate package and tricep vents work in tandem with the two-way center front zipper that allows you to dump heat without having to dump your pack and bino harness. Finally, the highly durable DWR-treated face fabric allows you to focus on the hunt, not protecting your puffy. The Uncompahgre Foundry offers an unprecedented, highly packable, multiple-benefit system that is the most versatile western outerwear jacket First Lite has ever offered.

I bought this jacket during the sale last year to go with my other first lite gear I have owned for years and love. I have only worn this jacket once and was less than happy with how it performed in the field. I wore it sitting in a ladder stand and realized the jacket has some negatives -in my opinion.
1. I am a bow hunter. The neck, when zipped up, makes it difficult to get an accurate anchor point because of how high it comes up over the chin.
2.The hood is too big and interferes with vision- drooping down over my eyes.
3. It isn't that warm, so if I need to layer the jacket feels very restrictive in the hip area, making sitting in the stand with the jacket zipped feel uncomfortable.
4. The fabric is noisy when I draw my bow, climb the ladder, shift my body.
Pros- great camo pattern, wind proof, sheds rain, great pocket placement.
Wish I had returned it before removing tags and wearing it. Just doesn't fit my body correctly ( and I am well-proportioned - not chubby) plus the previously mentioned cons- I would recommend trying it on in person before buying. I really wanted to love this jacket.

Great jacket

I personally have this jacket in men's and my girlfriend always where's it and raves about it. I bough this for her birthday and she was absolutely thrilled and loves it! Solid products from firstlite.

Warm and Weatherproof

My wife gets cold easily and got this to wear winter hiking and activities. It is warm and keeps dry. The hood works well and pockets are excellent. Great piece for active or casual cold weather use.
