Color/PatternFirst Lite Cipher

From cold September mornings in the Rockies to late October sits in your favorite oak with leaves on the ground, the Kiln Quarter Zip provides maximum versatility to get the job done throughout the season. The evolution of our best-selling Chama QZ, the Kiln Quarter Zip incorporates a mid-coverage collar and quarter zip neck into a re-engineered fit using our new midweight 250 Merino-X fabric to create an essential tool for your kit. Worn as either a first or second layer, its guaranteed to keep you comfortable and odor-free all season long.

The Kiln Midweight 250 Merino-X fabric utilizes ultrafine, 18.5 micron merino wool in a high loft, interlock knit to create styles that surpass expectations in the broadest range of temperature and weather conditions. Blending a small component of spandex into this knit, these lofted interlock pieces can withstand extended hunts in the field, regardless of the season.

Excellent Base Layer

I wore this piece around 2 weeks in the field during hunting season, and I wear it a few times a week during the colder months of North Idaho for various outdoor recreation events including: ATV riding, mountain biking, hiking, snow shoeing, and walking the dog in temperatures down into the teens. Fit is excellent, warmth is perfect (for most applications), scent protection great, the zipper is excellent for ventilation, and comfort is amazing. I've been washing it once or twice a month and not showing much signs of wear. I think most folks will be very happy with their purchase. Strongly recommend!!

Perfect for layering or use as outerwear

Ordered a solid black piece for daily casual wear as week as hog hunting in FL. Surprisingly got my first use while hiking in Hawaii at about 5000ft. The Kiln was comfortable and quiet. The wool even kept heat in nicely wet as we hit a few passing showers. Not the fastest drying but when it retains heat without decreasing core temp no need to strip layer off.

Great Baselayer, incosistent sizing

This is a great base layer, that wicks sweat and has zero odor. My only issue with it is the inconsistency in sizing. I have two of the exact same Kiln Baselayer in size Medium. The sleeves differ in length by over 1 inch.

Lightweight

This product was lighter than expected and I did not feel it would add any additional warmth even when layered. Purchased this for tree stand whitetail hunting but felt it would only be used in the very early part of the season. The fit was good except I am not a fan of thumb hole sleeves which made the sleeves too long. Hopefully they will add a cuffed sleeved option. Quality seemed good but I returned the product immediately so I cannot attest to its durability.
