In Stock & Ready to Ship

From cold September mornings in the Rockies to late October sits in your favorite oak with leaves on the ground, the Kiln Quarter Zip provides maximum versatility to get the job done throughout the season. The evolution of our best-selling Chama QZ, the Kiln Quarter Zip incorporates a mid-coverage collar and quarter zip neck into a re-engineered fit using our new midweight 250 Merino-X fabric to create an essential tool for your hunting kit. Worn as either a first or second layer, it's guaranteed to keep you comfortable and odor-free all season long.

The Kiln Midweight 250 Merino-X fabric utilizes ultrafine, 18.5 micron merino wool in a high loft, interlock knit to create styles that surpass expectations in the broadest range of temperature and weather conditions. Blending a small component of spandex into this knit, these lofted interlock pieces can withstand extended hunts in the field, regardless of the season.

The Kiln midweight 250 Merino-X is also available in a men's crew and hoody.

Just became a loyal customer

First time customer. The quality and workmanship is exceptional. Not too restrictive and is very versatile. Might be a little pricey but well worth it

Great shirt

The 2021 Minnesota pheasant opener was my first experience using First Lite apparel. I was extremely happy with my purchase. When we started it was 34 degrees, by the end of the day the temp had risen to almost 70. As a mid layer and then a top layer the shirt performed amazingly. 10/10 will buy another one.

Couldn’t more highly review

Couldn’t more highly recommend this quarter zip. It is light weight. It is arguably the most comfortable shirt I’ve ever worn. The thumb holes in the sleeves are much appreciated to keep the sleeves down/ hands warm/ skin covered in the gloves. It’s also surprisingly warm, especially for being so light weight

My most worn piece

I picked up a Kiln Quarter Zip in late summer. I've found I use this piece of FL gear more than anything else I have. I've been using it for waterfowl hunting for about a month now and also grab it when I'm going on morning grouse hunts or scouting for whitetails. I have one of these both with and without the hood and find I like the hood for the later season hunts, I've had it on, but am glad I have the hoodless one for earlier season. I'm very happy with this garment.

First Archery trip this year and it was all I needed to keep me comfortable. Great sleeve length for my taller size and super happy with my purchase.

Must Have

I'll be using this as a second layer. I used it on an early spring turkey hunt over my Fuse long sleeve. I didn't put it on until I sat down and dried out (which didn't take long with the Fuse) before I put on my Kiln quarter zip. Aside from.the Fuse LS, Wick LS, and the Klamath hoodie, the Kiln is my favorite top and will be on every hunt I engage in. A must-have for anyone in pursuit of wild game. I'm 5'11, 190lbs. and wear large shirts. However, FL clothes generally fit a bit large on me, so I ordered the medium. I'm glad I did because it fits well. Having a light baselayer underneath makes it more of an athletic fit, which is what I want. Not restrictive at all.
