Favorite Pair of Shorts

I live in Florida and well, my balls was hot. The Guide Lite shorts are breathable, stretchy, and fit perfect and I'm as comfy as can be in them. The material is lighter, more durable and dries quicker than the Corrugate Guide line. I got some pilling on the inside of the thighs (I will concede I do have larger legs) but not so with the Guide Lite. Great shorts!

Phenomenal Shorts

Let me start by saying I seldom write reviews. That’s being said, these may be the best shorts I own! I took these to Africa where I would see temps in the 120’s and they were the best thing going. As someone that prefers to be in athletic shorts all day anyways these fit the bill as an extremely light weight short. I live in virginia where it is frequently extremely humid and I wear these shorts daily, literally everyday! The grippy material that is in the waist band works well. If I were to have a gripe it would be the length as they go a touch past my knee.

Guide Lite Shorts

Awesome! Great warm weather shorts for summer activities. Fit is perfect. I love that FL offers them in specific waist sizes instead of the usual S, M, L, etc. Fabric is very breathable, fast drying, and light weight. I like the EDC knife carry design/reinforcement in both front pockets. Deep pockets with mesh sides. Waist band has s silicone treatment to keep them up on your waist. My first pair was missing the zipper pull on the back pocket, but FL exchanged it quickly. Ok FL, let offer them in more colors.

Love 'em

So I think I got a little ambitious on sizing. I have regular shorts that are 32's and 34's. My 34's are way too big and my 32's fit well. This pair is a bit snug. They also don't have any stretch in the waist in case someone thinks they may. Now that's out of the way I'll say that these are great. They're thin and breathable and the knife gusset is awesome. I'm planning on wearing these on a coastal fishing trip later this summer, especially after I knock a few pounds off. If you're on the fence, buy them. I'll be buying more.

What a garment

The search for a perfect summer short is finally over. While most others are light enough to dry quickly and be comfortable theu look absurd and are reallllllyyyyy only half a step above swim trunks and wear our/ tear easily. The flip side is your stuck wearing a pair of shorts so thick and heavy once dashing across a river or wading out a bit for the perfect cast they may never actually dry.... Ever. These shorts manage to be light as air, flexible, seemingly impervious to staying wet and have the perfect fit all while looking like a normal pair of shorts. Once the weather finally turned to shorts weather in Maine I put these on and may peel them off around September some time. They've been in the canoe, fishing, swimming, waking the dog, to the store, about town and reallllllyyyyy whatever else I've done. They stay perfectly on place thanks to the rubberized text on the inside of the waist band which for those of us lacking in the booty department is a godsend. Even on my taller frame they hit perfectly across the knee. The zippered rear pocket keeps the wallet secure. The only fault I've found with them is the pockets are a touch shallow and thus your phone can easily slide out due to the slickness of the fabric, I'm going to chalk that up to phones getting to big as I've been blinded by love for these shorts.

Awesome short

This is a really awesome short! Lightweight material, 3 pockets so perfect if you don’t need to carry a bunch of stuff. They don’t get In my way at all, or feel baggy. Love the fit.

Best Shorts I’ve ever owned

These shorts tick all the boxes for me. Lightweight, comfortable, stretchy and so far, durable. I really like that they aren’t so short you feel like Daisy Duke. The inseam length is great and helps with not sunburning the top of my legs when fishing in a boat.
Adding Ash Gray FL’s color pallet is a great move. I can wear these when out with the Mrs. or when on the trail or at the water. I will be buying more.

The Perfect Shorts

I wouldn't say I'm a hunter, I would say that I'm a hiker/backpacker that has hunted. Finding lightweight everything is important to me, but it must also be functional. When you average temp is 100+ you want/need gear that will let you breath, that wicks and is feather light. Most sport shorts that meet this requirement for hiking are too short in the inseam making you look like you are going to run a marathon, do a cross-fit challenge or they are crepe like with too many pockets and feel like they should come with a side of granola. These shorts on their own are a great casual short, they would look good on a casual evening out, but they are great for hiking. I wore them recently on a 107 day to water got them wet, they dried in minutes. Best of all on my 7 mile hike I never really "felt" them , I was not weighed down. Yet, they feel rugged, like they can take punishment and provide protection.

Sizing is right on. Im a big guy and most performance wear is not sized for big guys but these shorts were right on. I wore them without a belt but did not feel constricted. I had plenty of room in the crotch. The material stretches nicely and very comfortable. The Ash Grey is a great neutral color that works in the outdoors .
I will be buying another pair soon.
