This shirt is awesome- For sizing, I typically land in the "Extra Medium" somewhere between Med & Large. I ended up going with the Medium and it is perfect. Fits about like the Wick-T, maybe a hair looser. I've only owned it about a month but I can't stop wearing it. Super comfortable and doesn't hold odor. Don't wait to buy it, it is perfect.
Love the fit and breathability of this shirt. Great casual shirt. Normally wear and XL in T-Shirts , and ordered an XL. Fits just like my T-shirts. Get one, you will not regret it...
These shirts can’t be beat I wear them to work and hunting and fishing . They just don’t wear out and keep you cool when it’s hot out. I own three of them and it’s still not enough
This shirt is awesome. I love the 150 weight merino for everyday use. The Tech Tee’s do run a little shorter than the Wick Tee’s. Roughly 2-2.5” shorter in the torso. Would recommend sizing up one size from whatever size Wick Tee you wear.
I bought this shirt two months ago and I have put it through the wringer. Early season in the southeast is hot, very hot. This shirt was up to the challenge and crushed those high humidity, 85-90 degree days in the woods. To add to the test I did a three day hunt in those conditions without washing the shirt I came in took it off and let it hang dry. The next morning it was dry and good to go with no smell, unlike myself. This and the obsidian pants have been a great combination for early season. The aerowool shirts also look good wearing around town or enjoying a glass of bourbon by the fire.
I just dropped a couple of pounds since the 'rona and needed a new base layer for a backcountry bird hunt. With fluctuating temperatures in the badlands I wanted to go with FirstLite wool to wick moisture, and black so it could soak up the sun on cold days. The shirt fit nicely and allows for flex everywhere as expected. I took it out for a spin on a high mountain ptarmigan hunt and then for my backcountry bird hunt wearing it for 7 straight days to no ill effect. Like most of the merino products it doesn't stink after prolonged use.
Unfortunately it will pill a bit in high wear spots. I'd love to see FirstLite come out with a base layer or Tee that has some reinforcing on the shoulders near where a pack strap will rub on longer adventures. Though that's likely hard to not cause excess sweating in that location. Just a thought.
Really pleased with the shirt. Very light weight and comfortable for our hot and humid climate in the South. Accurate to sizing, slightly roomy which is good.
The Aero-wool tech tee has been a necessity for me here in Alabama doing some summer scouting. A shirt that will wick away early morning rain and mid-day sweat is a must have in this humid climate and this shirt does that. Coat it with some Sawyer’s permethrin spray and I could stay out all day in these pines.
This is one of my new go to t-shirts! Super comfortable, breathes well, and doesnt stick after a full day of using it. The fit is perfect! If worn it out in 85F temp days and is perfect for any type of day. I generally am pretty particular of my tshirt based on my lengthier torso, but I was very pleased with the fit of this shirt!
Amazing shirts. Own two, the "lookout" and the "topo." Plan on getting many more. This is the softest shirt I've ever owned. I'll sweat like crazy and yet this shirt stays very dry. Can't explain it but when you get one you'll understand. The only down side is that it's so delicate. Next level delicate. Both mine got snag lines the first time I wore them, made me sick but at the end of the day I would rather wear this shirt with a snag over a regular shirt in excellent condition. Not sure why people say this shirt runs big. I got a small and it fits me like a glove.
