I ordered this beanie not knowing what to expect because I don’t have much Marino wool this product was great I was bear hunting in icy conditions and when I was tracking my game my beanie became wet and I stayed warm and it dried before I went on me evening hunt I’m very pleased I ordered three more for my buddys for Christmas can’t wait to try more gear from this company
I typically avoid wearing anything on my head unless I absolutely have to. On a recent winter Whitetail hunt with temps in the 20's I knew I would have to and ordered the brimmed beanie.
The beanie fits well and is not too tight. For such a lightweight fabric the beanie is surprisingly warm. I was in a tree saddle for up to 5 hrs per day in light rain and temps ranging from 40-mid 20's. The beanie kept me comfortable. Not cold, not too hot, Goldilocks...Just Right. The brim flips up if you want unimpeded view and or bowstring travel.
This will remain in my Winter gear bag.
Fit was true to sizing chart. Color was as seen in the product pictures. Very comfortable wool.
As a guy with a 7-7/8 hat size, I was dubious of the claims that this would fit "huge melons". But, it does that with ease. Also warm, comfortable to wear, and quite soft. Definitely going to be picking up a couple more of these!
Was looking for the Orange one, but sold out, so got the dark earth. I have a huge Mellon ,so got the large. Fits just right. Nice having a cover that can also roll down over my ears. Warm and light weight. Still waiting for the Orange.
Great beanie. Very warm. The size is perfect.
I ordered this for something to wear as the temperature hovers in the teens here in Alaska but even on the days we’ve dipped below zero it’s been plenty to keep me comfortable. The visor is super nice this time of year with the sun staying to close to the horizon as well. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who asked.
I'm a sucker for hats - tossed this one into the cart one day as an add on to another order. Warm weather I usually wear a baseball hat (must be orange here), colder days I've worn a Stormy Kromer amongst others, super cold days I've worn a stocking hat to cover my ears.
So far, through a partial season, this one has done it all. I've worn it on days in the 40's down to an 18F long morning sit - this hat is not bulky, it insulates well, it deals with moisture just fine. Folding down to cover the ears has given me all the warmth I've needed. In the same hunt, I might sit for a few hours, cruise to a new spot, slowly still hunt for a few more, and then sit again. This hat has been perfect for all of it, through a wide temperature range.
Might just be my favorite hat of all time -
I started out with one, now I have 3. Warm, comfortable and my favorite part? It keeps my jacket hood from falling in my face all day. Fora guy who was skeptical about forking over the money for good gear I’m glad I did and I will continue to do so.
I tried to pick one of these up last year but was out of stock. I’m very pleased with my purchase. I’m glad I kept watching and got o e when available. I’m love it so much. I will be getting the camp one for next years bow hunting. I perfect fit and very warm.
