I researched a lot of different gear before purchasing the jacket and bib set. I really like the pass through pockets. The jacket fits over the bibs well, and the set give plenty of room for more layer if necessary. I haven’t had a chance to test it in cold weather, but based on the weight and fill, I’m sure it will out perform my expectation.
Live in Western NY. Got this jacket as a holiday gift and have been finding reasons to wear it as often as I can! While I haven't been in the tree stand with it yet, it's passed all other tests with flying colors. From general winter use to fly fishing for early spring steelhead, this is a MUST HAVE. Paired with a Kiln hoodie, you'll be set for late fall, winter, and early spring. I've worn this fly fishing in single digits and kept me comfortable. Also, the vents allow you to easily dump heat if you get too warm. Today it was 55 on the river, and I was totally comfortable with the vents open and front partially unzipped. No need for bulky layers underneath as it fits pretty snug. For archery - the sleeves are fitted perfectly to avoid getting in the way of my bow string. Although, when zipped all the way up, the collar does get in the way. I need to fold the collar down or at least make sure it's out of the way before getting to full draw. Other than that minor unexpected hiccup, I absolutely love this jacket! I can't wait to get the bibs to finish the set!
I have owned a ton of different gear over my hunting years but this is by far the best jacket ever!! The fit is PERFECT! It is warm and has so many great features but the best one that I use the most is the KitLink pass through to the bibs muff pocket! First Lite absolutely crushed this jacket and is made for the Whitetail hunter! I have FL’s baselayer system and run this system from 40 degrees all the way down to high teens. With the Furnace Henley, Klamath Hoody, Catalyst jacket then wear the Solitude and I still was comfortable and fit wasn’t an issue but more important I was warm!! Overall, I am blown away by this Jacket and the bibs just complete this system!!
Love this hunting jacket, Extremely warm. Sat through multiple 15-30 degree, damp, high wind days and the coat kept me warm. Love the insulated coat pockets and the pass through system to get into the bibs. Really a great jacket. Hood/high collar was great with the wind. Quiet and I feel pretty durable. Best coat I've owned. Would like to buy the bibs in the future, knowing the quality of the jacket.
Purchased this jacket for hunting season in Georgia. Everyone has always told me to buy real tree. Not anymore! I must say that this is the warmest and most comfortable jacket that I own. If there is anyone that is on the fence about buying this jacket, rest assured. Purchasing the solitude jacket is a must!
