Great bibs! So glad I went with these. The front pocket is a game changer when you pair it with the jacket for mid/late season sits. The pant pockets worked great to hold shells during goose season. They are supper comfortable, quiet, warm, and functional. O ya the full length zipper make it a breeze to put on if you decide to pack them in or just put them on with your boots on.
I am so happy I bought these bibs along with the solitude coat. These things are so warm for their relative bulk and very mobile and have very good movement in them. I wish that First Lite would make more tall sizes though as most of the pants i've gotten from First Lite have been short at the ankles. They are a bit tight if you're layering heavy for a late season hunt but overall I couldn't be happier with these bibs and would recommend them to anybody
These are the best bibs I have owned. They are not water resistant, so not great if sitting in snow. I use them ice fishing but get wet through the knee. Fit is great and comfortable. The leg pockets are a little awkward on the thighs if you pack much in there. No access to inner pants pockets, but often I just wear these and a base layer. I really like the high zip legs, makes getting on over boots easy. I did have to size up as XXL were tight. Length of the 3x is great for a tall guys like me.
These bibs kept me warm and toasty from late October and well into December. They are quiet, warm and the wind doesn't stand a chance against them. I hunt near a lot of briar patches and found that these were very durable when walking through them and found no defects or rips during the season. I did find they fit a bit snug, I have a 36" waist, and a large was a bit tight.
I film/photograph hunting for a living and need minimal amounts of gear that cover a large range of conditions. I really have nothing to complain about with the bibs. Roomy but ergonomic fit, warm but you can vent heat with the full length leg zips. A must have for last season whitetail
I have used the Solitude bibs since Thanksgiving which has spanned temps in the 40's to the teens, rain, snow, and wind. The bibs have stood up to everything! These are fantastic, and you should just buy them. They are super comfortable, and the full length zippers on the legs are great for the long hikes in, still hunting, or stalking. I put over 7 miles in a day with these and 2 base layers with temps in the low 30's and was comfortable throughout. I've also sat 6 hours in a stand with these, light base layer and Furnace lawyer with temps in the low 20's, wind, and snow. There were no issues, no wind coming through, toasty warm. I have tried all sort of hunting gear from the cheap ass stuff to other big brand names. I have been thoroughly impressed with the First Lite apparel. From the quiet fabrics, the insulation, and protection from the elements. This is definitely the top brand, and I will continue to purchase their products. It is definitely worth the money. You are investing in your warmth and comfort in the stand or the stalk.
My nitpicks...They are a little long, but hell I'm 68" and I like the extra room. There, I found something wrong with them,
I only hunt tree stands in northing Michigan in cold weather. These pants are both comfortable and warm. I am normally a medium for everything...lucky for me they only had large available. The large ended up fitting perfectly leaving me a little more room for base layers. I still went with the medium jacket....turned out perfect.
I have worn these the past two seasons in any temperature under 50. In the warmer temps they are great with just a light base layer. As it gets colder I wear them over a heavier base layer and some fleece pants. They pack pretty well and the full zips are great for easy on/off or venting heat if worn on the walk in instead. Very quiet and much more durable than I expected. No restriction in movement either which is nice. These are also great for colder turkey hunts on the ground with the waterproof seat. Overall quality set of bibs and I would buy again.
It’s very hard for a lot of us to pull the trigger on some very expensive clothing, especially some that are going to be out through its paces! I have to say that once again these do not disappoint. It’s finally cold enough here in NC for me to really use the solitude system! Words do not do it justice!! From fit to function! It’s perfect and I mean perfect!
This bib is great, the hand warmer pocket is a game changer, with the hand warmers in your core can feel the heat. Wore the set with heavy base layer and was perfectly fine in the tree stand at 32 degrees. If your on the fence on what to buy , (I know I was), I have no regrets about this purchase. This has my highest recommendation.
