Just like my title says....these are the best bibs I have ever owned. Loving all the pockets to keep gear in, especially the hand muff!! Medium fit me perfect and I couldn't be happier. There is plenty of room to layer underneath and not bulky at all. Love that I can zip open the legs while I walk to the stand and when I get up I can shut them. Keeps me warm all through the season! Quiet design and extremely warm! You won't be disappointed with the bibs!
I'll start off by giving a sizing review.
I'm 6'2" 165 and was on the edge between a Medium or Large so I ordered both.
The medium is definitely snug around the legs but fit well in the waist, however I had to fully extend the suspenders so they wouldn't ride up in my crotch. Overall I would have kept the mediums but they didnt offer much room for baselayers.
The Large offers way more room in the legs and with the velcro waist straps still allow me to get a tight fit around my hips. I ended up keeping the large and have plenty of room to layer appropriately underneath.
These bibs are considerably heavier duty than I imagined. I think with the right baselayers I'll be able to use these from late October through December in Mid Michigan. Pocket design is great, im very impressed with the hand muff, the camo pattern is flawless per usual. My only concern will be the noise that the waterproof butt patch has. The theory behind it is great and I doubt it will be a big deal but it's definitely something to be aware of.
Super quiet and more insulation than I thought when I ordered but the perfect amount. Be perfect for mid-late season
I’ve been hoping for a pair of bibs from First Lite to fit the peak for the bowhunting season (October-November) and these seem to be just what the doctor ordered. I’m not sure I love the waterproof seat for my purposes (treestand/saddle hunting) but I understand the thought process. The hand warmer muff/kangaroo pocket was brilliantly designed, it stays warm without chemical warmers simply because instead of being on the very outside of the jacket like most others, it’s under the jacket and close to the body. I’m excited to get these into the woods this fall- glad to see yet another innovative design from FL.
Just got my Solitude pants in the mail today!
I’m 5’ 9” #155 and I ordered a Medium, I normally order size Small in pants but figured I’d go up a size for layering and I’m happy I did.
Fit : Fit is perfect! I still have plenty of adjustment in the straps and the leg length is perfect.
Warmth : These are muchhhh warmer then I expected! ( not really a bad thing ) I think I will be able to wear these in the late season with proper layering here in PA. Going to be a bit warm for walking to the stand in early/mid October I think.
Material: VERY quite! Only noise is in the butt pad area but I don’t mind because it will keep me dry if my stand is wet.
Pockets: I love the big pocket on the chest with the waterproof zipper and the hand warmer will be perfect! Also has a zipper fly with a wind blocker.
Overall I love these!
