$95.00

Color/Pattern
In Stock & Ready to Ship

From cold September mornings in the Rockies to late October sits in your favorite oak with leaves on the ground, the Kiln Crew provides maximum versatility to get the job done throughout the season. The successor to our best-selling Chama series, the Kiln Crew incorporates a re-engineered fit into our new midweight 250 Merino-X fabric to create an essential tool for your kit. Worn as either a first or second layer, its guaranteed to keep you comfortable and odor-free all season long.

The Kiln Midweight 250 Merino-X fabric utilizes ultrafine, 18.5 micron merino wool in a high loft, interlock knit to create styles that surpass expectations in the broadest range of temperature and weather conditions. Blending a small component of spandex into this knit, these lofted interlock pieces can withstand extended hunts in the field, regardless of the season.

The Kiln midweight 250 Merino-X is also available in a men's quarter zip and hoody.

Great Layering garmet

I purchased this to wear over my base layer for mid to late season in the mid west. I have been very happy with the warmth to weight ratio. Sizing is true to a bit on the big side and if wearing next to skin a size down from normal maybe wanted.

Kiln - best base layer top I've every had

I've tried many base layers...from pure merino to pure synthetic. The Kiln top is what I've been looking for all these years. Super soft, comfortable against the skin, very warm, moisture wicking, and scent control. What more could you want? Oh yeah...and it retains it's shape. My other pure merino stuff stretches out. Not this...that 5% elastene makes for the perfect garment. Well done First Lite!

Favorite first Layer

I own a bunch of FL gear for layering. This piece is one of my favorite pieces. Its so comfortable. It's usually the first one I put on against my skin and helps draw moisture away but is also very soft and never smells. I like the mid weight as weather in Canada can go from -5C (23F) to +20c (70F) in the same day and dressing for it can be tough. As a larger person, I found that a large is a very good fit, where as I usually wear XL.
