These are amazing! I paired these with the Obsidian pants and i have made several sits during archery season from 60 to 45 degrees, in rain and sunshine. I stayed comfortable the entire time. They breath great for when it is a little warmer and kept me warm when the temps dropped. They fit great, pretty true to size.
These long johns are the best clothing investment i have made in a long time for hunting. They keep me very warm in cold temps, but not too warm once the mid-day high temps hit.
I recently purchased a intire setup of FL gear for whitetail hunting in central N.C. I started out with a few pieces to assure fitment and to check quality, all I can say is wow! I went with the Merino pants and lightweight crew to start out bow season. I was a fan from the get go. I now have a intire collection to get me from bow season through winter season and I'm amazed at the comfort and quality of all the products I've purchased. I looked at other brands and did alot of research before choosing FL, I couldn't be happier with my decision so far. I recieved my Furnace bottoms today and can tell you that these are the most comfortable base layer I've ever put on! I have a good mixture of Merino, Killn, sawtooth and the soft shell jacket along with other accessories. I went with FL Fusion and can contest that this camo pattern is perfect for any environment. I'm all set for the intire season, however if I find myself in need, I know exactly where to turn too. Good luck hunting everyone, stay safe!
I have worn these for early/mid season hunts where the temperatures start in the mid-30s and rise up into the 60s. They are warm in the early morning and don't let me overheat later in the day. They fit great and don't restrict motion when layered. Can't wait to wear them for them for some real cold mornings.
They're super comfortable. The only is I wish they had a extra small tall but the small fit just a bit loose (6ft 130pounds)
I sweat. PERIOD . These long johns are quick to wick up my sweat and then keep it moving. I always run into an issue of getting cold once the temp hits the moisture but not this time. Great blend of Merino wool that doesn't sacrifice comfort. Great investment.
Perfect for the mid to late season Whitetail hunt! These are warm! If your active in warm environments seek out there similar product were they zip off and on. No more taken off your boots! Oh also, there are nice to wear to bed too!
The general season in NW Montana can get pretty cold! Since buying and starting to use the furnaces, my outlook on cold has changed. These are not an in-between pair of long Johns, if it is COLD, put them on. If you read the weather wrong and it warms up, you’ll overheat in these things. I looked forward to coming back to the cabin from a day of hunting when it was too warm to wear them in the field and so that I could wear them in the cabin while the fire got rolling. They are extremely comfortable. Just don’t forget to take them off before you climb in your sleeping bag and fall asleep, you’ll wake up overheating!
I bought these to use in the late fall, but I ended up using them all the way though to the late season. They are a great fit and amazing at keeping temp, never got too hot walking out to the stand but always kept me warm while sitting.
