The Furnace Long John
"When it comes to layering, my lower extremities have been an afterthought, but I ordered these with the furnace top and its the warmest and most comfortable I’ve been. They few hunts I’ve worn them it’s only been down to the mid 30’s and some rain, but I’m already wearing less layers. These long Johns are not only very warm but very comfortable and soft too. In the past I had to wear 3-4 more layers to achieve staying warm and still would get cold. Now that I’ve discovered First Lite, those days are over. If you’re on the fence, just get them, you won’t regret it."Shop Now
Kiln Crew, Kiln Zip Offs, Furnace Zip, Furnace Bottoms, Sanctuary Bibs and Jacket, and Klamath Zip (as a wind break or outer layer in mild conditions). Love it all. By far and wide the BEST gear I have ever worn.
Warm, dry, and the base layers are perfect in every way, I use the Kiln top / bootom under brush pants for upland hunting a few times a week as well.
No problem during cold-as-hell tree stand and ground sits up here in Canada. You won't regret it.
I have gear and clothing from EVERYONE out there and this QZ Klamath and the hoody version are the best gridded fleeces I've ever owned. The old Patagonia R1 was my go to for years and years but FL has come through again with the ultimate piece! I have every solid color in the hoody version plus cipher and plan to get a couple more of the QZs. I live in Colorado at 8,700 ft so I wear these things year round almost every day. They're amazing. Super nice next to skin but still roomy enough to accommodate layers underneath. Perfect cut, styling and design. Don't ever get rid of this one FL! Fit note: The sleeves are pretty long on this piece and don't come with FL's ubiquitous thumb holes unfortunately. Not a big deal but given how long the sleeves are and the fact that I'm used to having the thumb holes in all their other tops, it feels like a bit of a miss. I could have easily sized down to a L for a form fitting layer next to skin but like the ability to layer underneath the XL and it's got good stretch to it so it won't hang on you like a sack or look baggy. the sleeves, while long, are cut nice and trim and stay out of the way nicely when drawing my bow too.
If you’re looking for a good quality duffel that comes in a small frame, this is the way to go. I’ve used it as my carry on for a few trips already and I love it. I’m very satisfied with this purchase.
Have only used the bag a couple of times, but one of those times it housed some extra clothing while steelhead fishing here in WA. Along with being stuffed full of warm gear it also came in handy as a changing mat while putting on my waders, I have the small bag but the fold out flap provided plenty of space to get the waders on and off and a nice place to kneel while lacing up my boots keep my socks waders and knees out of the mud. Funny thing is... at first I thought I would never use that feature.
Water tight as well... it rode about 150 miles in the bed of my truck through rain and snow. Everything stayed dry.
Really like the sweatshirt and its design. Always a plus when a portion of the cost goes to a good cause. Product arrived promptly and fits great! 5'10" 185lbs (athletic build)
This jacket was perfect straight out of the gates. First hunt I used them in Ohio as a second layer of 3. Then I went on a hunt down in Louisiana and it was a perfect outer layer for duck hunting and deer stand sitting! Highly recommended
