I've been trying First Lite stuff for a couple years now. I ordered a pair of the Zero Cold socks and WOW. All season I've been very happy. So I ordered two more pair. I'm wearing one pair with the Soloman hiking boots and my feet have not gotten cold at all. I'm in north Alabama, wasn't every cold this year but it did get into the low 20's. GET THESE SOCKS, you'll be pleased.
These are the first FL socks that I 100% fell in love with. Im going to be buying so many more of these. They fit perfectly, are warm and they are so comfortable. I recommend these for stand hunts and short day trips during the cold season. They are true to size and a great investment.
I have not worn these on a hunt, just around the house. They are very comfortable and seem well put together.
Ordered them because my feet were freezing on a frigid Georgia sit. Go ahead, laugh. It was VERY cold for me. Love these socks. If they came in different colors, I would buy them to wear to work with my uniform pants. They are that good. FWIW, I wear a size 12 and my feet are slightly narrow on the D width of footwear.
Paired with a liner sock .
These socks are great kept my feet nice and warm . 12hr sit NJ -temps in the 20-30's
These socks are very comfortable even without any liner sock. I would suggest that if you are stalking or have a long walk to the treestand that you wear a liner sock just for additional wicking. I am 6'4" 237lbs and wear a size 14 boot, these socks are tall, very tall. They came up almost to my knee, keep that in mind when buying them. Bottom line, warm, tall, comfortable socks.
Purchased these, along with the Kiln long boxer briefs, for a recent Colorado elk hunt. While it was a warm season these basically doubled as a second insulating layer, and some days I did not even start the morning out with long johns. I will definitely be ordering some more, and wearing them on colder winter days around town as well.
Much warmer than the mtn athlete compression sock. They kept me warm on a early November deer hunt in CO this year with uninsulated boots on.
I wore these the other day knowing it was going to get down below 50 degrees. I paired them with some boots that have zero insulation and I was sweating by the time I got to my stand. The merino did a great job of wicking it away and my feet stayed comfortable and warm all night. Highly recommend these for cooler nights.
