These socks keep your feet warm and dry! Length over the calf is perfect for keeping layers overlapping to stay warm. Feels more like an everyday sock compared to other "fuzzy" options.
I’ve worn wool socks from Carhartt and Keen, and these blow them away. Combined with a liner sock my feet stay dry and warm in my muck boots. Highly recommended.
I wore these socks for a weekend of bow hunting white tails in 20-30 degree weather. These were comfy and warm. I loved the tall calf length. My feet did get a little chilly after 4-5 hours in the stand but nothing crazy, and I could tolerate a full day sit (probably more of a boot issue than a sock issue). Would definitely order another pair!
Loved these socks even more than the equal weight in my Smart Wools. The longer calf portion is awesome and puts thee as the best cold weather sock I have worn. Just a great sock from fit to function.
So if you are looking for a sock that keeps you toasty in stand these are at best ok. I stand hunt in WV our temps in late November hover around 30 degrees. I was looking for a magic sock to where my foot just don’t get cold. I wore muck boots and these socks on stand for 4 hours in mid 30 temps. I would love to say my feet stayed toasty but they didn’t. They still got chilled but not frozen. I would have to say there is no sock that will keep your feet toasty. I would compare these to the Darn Tough sock. Now these socks aren’t all bad, they are very soft and comfortable.
I run the Triad socks most of the time but once the temperatures dip below zero up here in Ontario Canada, I switch to the Cold Weather sock when sitting in the tree stand in the late season. These socks are extremely warm and wick moisture away to keep your feet dry without being to bulky like some other brands. Once again kudos to First Lite on another great product.
Not only are these the most comfortable socks I’ve ever worn they are warm and my feet do not sweat. I have another brand of wool socks that make my feet sweat and are not as comfortable or warm as these. A+++++ product!
Still looking for a warm sock . Nice sock , but didn’t keep my feet any warmer than my cheap socks . Disappointed this sock didn’t even get close to its name . Looks nice and felt great just no warmth .
Used these socks in weather below freezing to about 15 *. I was using 200 g insulated boots. The combo kept my feet warm when sitting and glassing. However while walking my feet didn’t get to hot or sweat.
I buy cold weather socks every year trying to find the perfect pair. I honestly have dozens of pairs from other brands. I wore these for a week straight to test them out for smell, maintaining loft and comfort, and warmth. Buy these. They are the real deal.
