I was tired of not carrying something into the backcountry that I could wear around camp especially in the middle of the night running off to takecare of business and fumbling with my boots. I slip the Mocs on and go into my sleeping bag, wake up and don't have to do the tent shuffle. Fyi I would recommend taking socks off and let the perspiration dry before slipping the Mocs on.

Very warm, but haven't worn them enough to make a determination on long term durability. That said, they are definitely designed extremely well. Seams are well sealed along entire lengths. The collar is just tight enough and doesn't cut off circulation to the feet. For those complaining about the bottoms, they do exactly what they are intended to do, they are NOT boots or even tennis shoes. They have a thick flexible material that will protect your feet outdoors (for the sensitive princess and the pea types, you can feel the ground) but won't damage your tent floor. These are Great!

Fit well, very comfortable using them inside. Haven't used them outside yet.
