great merino, runs small 9/5/2018

I am usually a small and ordered small in these active briefs. While the waist area fits great, it's super low rise, and the booty was not covered--binding and uncomfortable because there's just not enough fabric where I needed it. I actually modified the brief by taking merino wool stretch boyshorts I bought from Smartwool but don't wear anymore and adding to the booty/crotch area all around. My sewing machine had no problems handling this "customizing" project, and the result is quite nice. My booty is now covered, the briefs are comfortable (still low rise--no way to fix that, but still fits ok). I am ordering another pair in medium now--this will fit, I'm sure. A fellow woman hunter who is also size small but has muscular legs and glutes like mine recommended sizing up 1 notch in First Lite bottoms. Medium is her fit, and I'm sure it will be for me, too. In the merino jane long undies, I bought a medium and they fit perfectly. The merino in these briefs, by the way, is perfect weight for any conditions. I've hunted worldwide in all weather, from 100 F to negative 20, and merino this weight in an underlayer is what you want for any hunt or just everyday use. Soft merino--best I've worn of any brand out there (and I've tried them all).

How it fits
Go one size up if you have any muscle to your booty or thighs. I am thin, tall, no hips, 27 waist, 36 hips and small didn't give me full coverage.

LOVE these 9/1/2018

I bought these in cipher just for fun, not thinking I'd end up loving them and wanting to wear them 24/7. They are SO comfortable!!! I've never loved another pair of underwear as much as I love these. As far as the waistband is concerned, I'd say it's perfect. I'm 5'5", 125 lbs, and typically buy size medium panties, and the medium is perfect in these. They are definitely on the cheeky/minimal coverage end of the spectrum, which is my favorite, but if you're looking for something super modest with a ton of coverage, you may not like these. First Lite, PLEASE continue to make these just as they are and do not change them. My suggestion to the company is to come out with a style featuring more coverage for the ladies who prefer that style, and to please come out with a thong style utilizing the same exact waistband as these. That would be awesome! My 2 cents.

How it fits
Cheeky coverage, much cuter than I expected! I love the wide, comfortable waistband.

Fits Nicely! 8/30/2018

I have not used these when hiking yet, but like them so far. They look good, so says my husband!

How it fits
Fit is great, I like the minimal elastic around the leg holes to reduce chaffing. Hugs my curves nicely.

Love the product but get a size larger than normal....or two 8/30/2018

I love these briefs. I was wanting a pair that fit comfortable and did not have to worry about them while I'm packing out. The larger hip band helps keep them from bunching up. The fabric is extremely breathable and light weight.

How it fits
If you have a smaller rear end with tiny hips it would probably fit great. But it you have a bit of a booty and some hips definitely size up. Low rise style more of a cheeky coverage.

I can’t even tell I have them on 8/30/2018

I’m surprised these only have 3 stars from previous buyers. I LOVE them! My hubby purchased them for me without my knowing and I told him I need two of every color lol. The material is thin and breatheable and super comfy. I wear/wash these often, they have yet to show any signs of wear and tear.

How it fits
If you have a thicker waist line I could see the waist band on this feeling too snug and maybe causing a muffin top situation. So if that’s a concern maybe order a size up. But I love the cut and style of these! They’re still feminine (:

Great Perofrmance 8/29/2018

These do a great job wicking moisture, as a sweaty women I appreciate that. I was able to do everything I normally do without feeling gross or pulling a wedgie out every few mins.

How it fits
The picture implys a bikini cut but I think the cut is much closer to Cheeky. Which personally I like. I got my regular size and fits good (no camel toe, no wedgie) usually if a size is truly to small it’s wedge city for me.
You might go one size up if you’d like a bit more butt cover.

Wife LOVES these! 8/29/2018

I have been slowly building my wife’s hunting clothing setup and recently purchased a couple pairs of these and the shorts version as well. She absolutely loves the feel (maybe more than I like the look)! She has them in conifer and fusion and both are well made and fit just as her normal sizing from other brands.

Picked my butt all day but (at least) wasn't sore 8/26/2018

I purchased these to prevent chaffing and saddle sores in my "uh humm" areas during a long backcountry trip. At the end of the 80-mile trip, I had zero pains "there", which had never ever been the case on prior trips! The merino wool wicks moisture like crazy, and these undies are super duper ultralight as advertised.

However, some fine-tuning needs to be done to make for "active" PEOPLE. Perhaps the undies themselves are way too active as they like to move a lot! When I got off my horse, I had a wedgie. (Pop...) Solved the problem. Took a couple steps....problem. Again, had to pick my butt (Pop..) when I felt nobody was watching. It was the start of a vicious cycle that lasted all day.

Although I love First Lite and the IDEA of these undies (waist band is super comfy), perhaps they need to make these like boy shorts because they are so light and too active - in turn leaving you less active because of the frequency of butt picking. It is not going to stop me from wearing them in when chasing elk in a couple weeks though because I can pick my butt in front of my husband all day and not care - other than the minor inconvenience. However, being with a group of people for several days... The same inconvenience was much more annoying. I'm rooting for First Lite to bring back the women's boxer briefs or, better yet, turn these into boy shorts! Pleeeeeaaassseeee! Me no likey the wedgie....

How it fits
I bought both small and medium; although the small did not come close to covering my rear end, the medium gave me more wedgies than the small while hiking up the mountain and sitting in a saddle. The waste band is so comfy I couldn't tell a noticeable difference between the fit of the small and medium waist.

Just OK 8/22/2018

I agree with the previous review on fit and coverage. I expected, and would would prefer, more coverage and a higher waist for the higher activity level of hunting as well as my job. However, I like them well enough that I am willing to purchase a second pair and try a size up. I haven’t worn them enough to comment on how well the fabric holds up.

How it fits
These are a more modern, low waist fit, so they ran small for me from my normal size.

Nice fabric, but the fit is a little off 8/6/2018

The fabric is soft and light. I also like the wide waist band. I bought them in Cipher and the coloring looks great.

How it fits
They seem to run small. I am normally a size L, but for the next one, I am going to order a size up. There is also not as much coverage on the back as I thought.
