Went to upsate NY early season, this was a great addition to all my other baselayers. I like the fit and feel and was great around camp as well. Very warm for those cool evenings and morning sits. While on this trip the temps ranged from 38-75 degrees.
I was hesitant to order this, due to quality concerns with neck gaiters I have seen since the COVID issue started. Ordered this one for flyfishing, turkey hunting, etc. and could not be more pleased. Fits great. Light. Well made and a neutral color. Not sure what else I could have asked for. Looking at buying another one now in another color. A quality product at a reasonable price. Thanks First Lite!
Perfect when it comes to comfort. Stretches where it needs to. Breathable!
This gaiter is without a doubt the best piece of gear you can have when spending time in the mountains!
It blocks wind, is warm but not too hot, it breathes, stretchy and you will not have any discomfort from wearing it for extended periods of time.
I never knew how great a good quality gaiter would change the way you think about necessary gear. This one goes in my pack (or pocket) for almost every single trip i take into the hills; it can do so much and weigh so little.
I also appreciate the color options for those of us who are camo fatigued!
Live in Western NY. The weight of this is perfect for winter or early spring activities! For archery, it doesn't change my shot at full draw if I'm wearing it as a face mask. For fly fishing, it's a great addition to keeping warm during the early spring steelhead run.
I know this is a mid-weight piece of gear, however I was wearing this from the beginning of October all the way into January. Right off the bat the comfort and warmth of the neck gaiter is awesome! The fit and material are what make it comfortable to wear all day and all year. Next, I would like to mention about the durability. I wore only once neck gaiter all year long and it was this one and it still looks brand new. I washed it a few times and used the Grangers Clothing Care Kit and believe that helps a ton. Bottom line you won't be disappointed having this piece of gear!!
I recently purchased this gaiter and I can’t get over how perfect it is. It’s snug enough to stay on without falling down and molds right around your facial features as well. It does exactly what merino wool does and keeps you warm without overheating. With its incredible material you don’t build up with humidity and end up with a drenched gaiter. I love it and will get more for sure!!!
Never thought I'd love a facemask, or neck gaiter as much as this. The stretch is unreal, if its cold you can take the back of this up over your ears and not get choked the slightest. I do this often and it always maintains it's stretchiness.
I have always owned one of those large bulky cotton gaiters so I was very hesitant if this would be as warm as advertised being as thin as it is. I am 100% satisfied! I wore this pheasant hunting in January and also ice fishing when it was 5 degrees out and it was outstanding! It keeps your face unbelievably warm for how thin it is.
Best neck gaiter u can buy for hunting has the long length that is needed to make face mask with it also and is very comfortable and will not contain odor is very warm and can also hear very well through it
