I wear this as a midlayer underneath my solitude system for late season treestand hunting and as a top layer for early/midseason deer hunting and turkey hunting. This with the fuse crew and I'm comfortable from the mid 50s up to 70 degrees. It's a super versatile piece that I bring on most every hunt.
This is by far the best top i've ever owned, so much I have one for hunting and another for daily wear. I wore this all through the season as a mid layer and an outer layer. It kept me warm during November sits for Whitetails where I've worn it as an outer layer and a mid layer under my Woodbury. I picked up a solid one as a daily wear and use it for training as well, while on a run I got caught in a thunder shower and was soaked. The Klamath kept me warm even while completely water logged, I am extremely impressed with it's versatility; The hardest part will be deciding to go with or without the hood, my advice get the Hoody.
I gave this review some time since I wanted it to be of some value.I have taken this on every trip so far, it is the perfect mid layer answer! I wear it hiking, hunting, camping and everything in between. I wear a base layer and the Klamath and the guide jacket depending on the weather. Even as an outer layer on a five day shed hunting trip (forgot my jacket) with some rain it handled great and dried out fast when it did get wet. Just buy it if your on the fence you won’t be disappointed.
I wore the Klamath Hoddie for a week straight in the mountains of Idaho last year and it preformed flawlessly. great warmth to weight ratio and worth every penny. Smelled like smoke from the fire and very little body odor even after a week in the mountains. Be sure to turn inside out when you wash. Mine did ripple a little bit when washed but nothing major. I love the hoodie and would buy it again!
You can't go wrong with this awesome Hoody - very comfortable and fits perfect.
