This Hoody is phenomenal, so comfortable you forget its on, keeps you warm but not so much as too sweat I've warn it brush busting while hunting rabbit in late winter just that and a t-shirt and i was never cold nor too hot got caught on plenty of thorns but only one strand of material was pulled on very durable, good for every occasion early or late season, it doesnt do well against wind but dries very quickly if wet. It also pairs perfectly with the cold weather balaclava
I film/photograph hunting for a living and need minimal amounts of gear that cover a large range of conditions. This piece is in my pack all year whether Im out west or whitetail hunting. I use it for taking the chill of in the mornings as well as a layering piece over my heavier merino if I I dont want to wear the jacket that comes with my solitude bib set
Great layer to have for early and late season.
The sleeves run a little long. The waist is long as well, not a deal breaker just a heads up.
The Klamath is a great all around layer that has turned out to be suprisingly bomb proof. I generally hang and hunt so this serves as my outter layer on the walk in when the temps start to drop. This thing has been through more brior patches than I care to remember and looks great still! Once on stand, it serves as a nice added piece of insulation. I do have one with the hood and without and will say I find myself reaching for the hooded quite a bit more. The hood alone makes for a huge gain in comfort when you get a cool October wind blowing.
I absolutely love the hoody. It is warm enough when needing to layer but perfect for those days when the sun peeks out and you don’t need a heavy jacket.
Awesome fleece! Received in time for opening day, winter bow season for coues white tail in SE AZ. Wore this over a Llano & Chama hoody. Held up fine in 32-34 degree weather, 42% humidity at 4800 ft. Kept me warm while glassing and I didn’t overheat while hiking. Seems pretty durable so far, which is important in the deserts of AZ. Sleeves are a little/slightly longer but I like that for layers underneath. I just adjust the sleeves to fit evenly/comfortably over my other layers. No issues. I wore a medium over 2 other layers with no issues. It is an athletic fit which I like. May want to go a size up if you want it baggier. Love it so far!
The Klamath Hoody is my first piece of First Lite gear and has not disappointed. Shipping was fast and my hoody arrived earlier than estimated, meaning it got op tested on a Sunday scout/Monday hunt in the mountains of Virginia. It was warm enough to serve as an outer layer in cool, but not frigid, temps, and it is incredible quiet and flexible. Despite being tested against thickets and briars, the material held up well and showed no apparent damage.
Both durable and warm, I am incredibly pleased with my Klamath Hoody.
Wore this for 4 days straight on a Dec cow hunt. I wore it under a puffy jacket and was comfortable in 19deg weather in the mornings and by itself during the day when it got into the 40's. Never felt like it stank. Super comfortable and since I have long arms I love the long sleeves.
Love this hoodie. I wear it all all the time. When I first pulled it out of the box I was a little concerned about how thin it was, but don't let that fool you, it keeps me almost too warm. Being able to zip it open is super nice. Obviousy using this this in conjunction with other clothing will also keep you warmer. I used it mostly in south Oregon during spring turkey season with a rain jacket over top. Fits perfect. I plan on buying another in a different print when I get the chance.
I purchased the Klamath Hoody after reading all about the stretchy fit and warmth. As a substantial animal (54" chest), I can say that these reviews are not unfounded. The hoody fits absolutely perfectly on me, even though it's only rated as a 2XL. I give two thumbs up to any big guys like me looking at FL gear.
