Whether you pulled a late-season elk hunt or are down to the closing bell in the treestand, First Lite's Furnace Long John is the perfect tool to help you punch that tag in cold weather. Using our Merino-X 350g EXP weight fabric, the Furnace Long John provides lofted insulation and protection from the coldest temperatures. Featuring flatlock seams, a brushed, jacquard waistband and an articulated fit, the Furnace Long John leverages the loft, structure and stretch of our Merino-X fabric to provide the ideal layering piece over our other lightweight, next-to-skin styles. This system is the new standard for stationary hunts or late season stalks when staying warm is critical to success.

Our Furnace EXP 350 Merino-X fabric incorporates a brushed (or fleeced) backside to our high loft, interlock knits to provide super-charged insulation without added weight. Adding this to the silent, odor-free benefits of merino wool, the Furnace merino is the hands-down choice for cold weather hunts.

The Furnace EXP 350 is also available in Henley and Quarter Zip Tops.

Furnance Long John

Love these pants. As the weather turned colder in Wisconsin these were a god send for staying warm. I was able to wear these for days without odor and they remained comfortable.

Great Wool Long Underlayer

I have been upgrading underlayers for years in the construction field and outdoors during winter months. The Furnace long underwear might be too much for construction depending on the outside temperature. For hunting, they are great! Thick, soft, sweat wicking, and do a great job of retaining body heat are the best features of this under layer. I have purchased thinner merino wool but it isn't enough for cold temperature adventures such as late season hunting, ice fishing, and snowmobiling. These aren't cheap but can be used for many different activities. At some point I will purchase more! I really like the 1/4 zip furnace top layer also!

Extremely Warm

The furnace lives up to its name it is extremely thick and extremely warm. I wouldn't do any heavy hiking in the Furnace!!! It is made for long cold sits!

Best base layer ever

Never had any first lite pieces so decided to give these a try. I was able to stay warm in low 30s temps with just these and my kuiu attack pants. I've now ordered the 1/4 zip top to match. If you want to maximize warmth and minimize bulk these are a must have. I definitely see more first lite pieces in my future

Furnace long johns perfect for the cold

The mens furnace long johns are outstanding for cold weather. Personally can’t wear them while walking but they keep me warm once I put them on when I get where I’m going.
