I recently purchased two pair of Corrugated Guide Shorts for a two week trip with my family to Hawaii. I used these shorts exclusively to surf, body board, snorkel and swim in all day long. I used them on short and long hikes into the mountains and jungle and they breathe very well in 85-90 degree temperatures with very high humidity. They would then dry out very quickly and I would wear them for dinners out in the evening.
I am not easily impressed with clothing quality, but these are the best shorts I’ve ever worn.
The small zippered pocket on the left leg kept my car keys available while out and about and they kept my house keys available during the day while I was enjoying the water sports.
Don’t be afraid to wear these shorts swimming, hiking and any other situation you can think of. You won’t be disappointed.
My first pair was in cypher for my early season alpine hunting. They were so good that I bough two more in the solid colours for more everyday use.
The best all around outdoor, casual, sport shorts out there. They are durable and fit really well. Not too tight, not too loose. I use them for hiking, camping, fishing, rock climbing, and any casual occasion. If I had more than one pair and they came in black I would wear them more.
I’m so glad I purchased these! I took a pair of these on my hiking trip to the Joshua Tree National Park in March and fell in love. I ordered another pair when I got back from California. I took them on my fishing trip last week to Texas and they worked out great. I’ve been wearing them when I go fishing on the weekends mostly. These shorts are easy to move in and the waistband is really comfortable. I like how these have deep pockets and a zipper pocket for anything that I don’t want to fall out. I ordered a size medium at first, but I ended up exchanging them for a large. I was between sizes and could have gone either way. The mediums were just little too snug for my liking and I wanted a bit more room, so I went up a size.
I find these shorts quite comfy in the heat, stretchy to allow easy movement even when crouched/cramped.Pockets are excellent, maybe the front pockets could be zippered too though? Wouldn't want to lose your leatherman.Fit at XXL for me is larger than I expected, where I buy most day-day clothing at XXL and it can often still be firm fitting. Good work!
