A pair of aerowool red desert boxer shorts was my first FL purchase, and I must say, I'm impressed! I hunt the hills of NC and VA for whitetail, and although FL is marketed mainly toward a western market, I have grown to love merino wool products for their insulating, comfortable, and most of all, their natural ODOR-FIGHTING ability. As a very active public land hunter, it has become important for me to invest in merino pieces to enable me to comfortably hike in past the hunting pressure without worry that working up a sweat will ruin my efforts. Thankfully, companies like FL have built products like these boxers to keep our "components" prone to stench and chafing both comfortable and stink-free! I am 5'11, ~200 lbs., and found the large fit great--not too big--but I do sport a "full" rear-end. They are long--touching the tops of my knee caps, which I like as they provide added insulation and protection from any possible chafing points. The only negative is I only have one pair!
