Best qtr zip out there! 11/6/2018

I used it early morning in a blind, about 47 degrees and just used this and the Wick Short Sleeve Crew Shirt and it was perfect! kept me warm and really moves with your body, did not loose any range of motion! Later that afternoon I was walking through some Texas thickets and got snagged on some thorns a few times, thought for sure I had a few holes and tears and thread pulling, but when I went to check.. there was nothing! Really durable!

Light and Quiet 10/26/2018

I have been wearing the 1/4 zip early archery season and we have had colder than usual weather. This paired with the chama hoody is great for mid 40s-50. Very light and quiet. Great addition to my system.

The perfect fleece 9/29/2018

So comfortable! I'd suggest getting the plain colors for normal around town wear. (I bought bother medium and large to try)

How it fits
Large is the perfect fit for layering over a base layer and normal clothing. Its the perfect size for a quick throw on shirt for added warmth.
Medium if you like the more form fitted feeling. The tighter fit didn't restrict movement. Medium could also be worn as your first layer if you choose to do so.
Both easily fitted over the 320g Chama Merino Wool base layer. I wear my base layers skin tight.

Light. Warm. Quiet. 9/10/2018

I finally had a chance to try out some First Lite product in the field and I couldn't be happier this 1/4 zip.
For as light as it is I was surprised how warm it kept me when I was sitting. Not too hot either with moderate exertion. Next purchase will be an Uncompahgre for my November elk hunt.

How it fits
Fits great. Love the long sleeves.

Durable & Breathable 8/31/2018

I wore the Halstad while hunting pheasants in November in thick cattail sloughs and I couldn't believe how well it kept me at the right temp and allowed me to stay warm after a push because I was not soak in sweat which allowed me to switch between posting and pushing.

The forearm sleeves took a beating from knocking down cattails and held up extremely well for such a soft comfortable material. Although I have not tried the Klamath, based on my experience with the Halsted I'm going to order one right after this review.

It was my first peice of clothing from First Lite and let me tell you, the products they produce are worth every penny. They got me for life. Keep up the good work.

Huge improvement 8/30/2018

While this piece is a great mid or outer layer, I honestly wear it around town as often as I do while hunting. Much less aggressive branding, and a great cut, this fleece is pretty much great for whatever you need.

great mid layer / outer layer 8/30/2018

the warmth to weight ratio is amazing. i was expecting it to be thicker when i order but was pleasantly surprised to how thin it was. i was first disappointed when i first saw it until i tried it on and used it. I don't think anyone will be disappointed when they use this piece for what it is intended for.

Must Have Piece of Gear 8/29/2018

This is probably one of my favorite pieces of First Lite gear. I went with the quarter zip and boy do I love it. The material is comfortable and I can tell this piece will be warm. It will be the perfect outside layer for those cooler hunts and when temps drop way down it'll be nice to throw on under my jacket. I really like the length of the shirt too. Its not too short, not too long. Would highly recommend this fleece. It will come in handy on all of my hunts!

Fits awesome, but thinner than expected 8/29/2018

Purchased on a whim to have an additional insulating layer when needed. The cut and fit of the shirt is perfect, and I can wear it over several FL baselayers and under outerwear without issue. I have had other grid fleece garments in the past that had a heavier fleece with a silghtly higher loft, so I know those to be warm, but this shirt was thinner than I expected. I have some concerns it will be a goto layering piece because of it's weight. If the fleece was heavier this would be a no brainer for mid to late season sits when it gets below 50F.

How it fits
Runs a baggy with longer sleeves and a longer shirt tail. Layers over FL baselayers extremely well.

Great addition to the kit 8/29/2018

Top notch quality, looks as though it should be no problem getting years of wear. I am able to layer if need be without it being to bulky. The zipper is long enough to allow for a significant amount of heat release after that long steep hike to your glassing point.

Can't wait to use it 8/29/2018

I own two of the original halstead shirts and this significant upgrade. I haven't had cause to use it yet, but I can't wait. I loved the halstead but hated the white collar, First Lite fixed that. Last November I wore one of my two halsteads every day for a week. This model looks to be better built and the white collar is gone. Looking forward to November, or a cool September morning chasing elk.

New fit is perfect 8/29/2018

I purchased this as a layering piece and also to where day to day. Primarily hunt whitetail in the east and elk in the west and this piece is perfect for layering. Super warm but also really light. The new fits in the 2018 line are dramatically improved. Plenty of room to layer underneath but also fits well under my jacket (catalyst in XXL).

How it fits
I typically wear t-shirts that are sized XLT or XXL. I found the XXL in this to be perfect - good length in the torso and arms, but not too baggy.

Hyper Versatile at a reasonable warmth/weight ratio 8/29/2018

I use my FirstLite gear more often while backpacking/bikepacking than hunting, so I wanted something that doubles as a great ultralight layer, but still durable and flexible enough to hunt. This has become my go-to layer. It's super warm, breathes well, packs fairly small, and dries quickly. I find it handles most situations well, and combined with a rain shell, takes care of just about every outdoor activity I do. Smooth exterior makes it layer nicely under an uncomphagre for stationary activities.

How it fits
I tried a large but found it too billowy and the sleeves too long for my build(8% BF). The medium, very surprisingly, gave a nice fit for an active layer. Very happy with FirstLite's return policy. Now that I know my size, I find a medium works well for me across the line(Uncomphagre, kiln, etc)

Great. A bit slimmer than the Halstead and needs thumb loops 8/29/2018

This is my 3rd grid fleece. I had one in the military with thumb loops that was awesome until my wife stole it. I have one in flat dark earth (Halstead) to hunt with and a Klamath in black to wear at work. I love them. It’s the perfect midlayer.

My only complaint is the lack of thumb loops. If it’s cold out and you want to use this under a jacket it’s hard to keep the sleeves from riding up. Add thumb loops

So far its GREAT!!! 8/28/2018

I got this product during the pre order along with a couple other pieces. I was most excited about this piece because I really felt like something like this was missing from my gear. I haven't gotten to test it out yet in cold temperatures (its been a steady 95 in OK) but I have worn it about in hot temperatures just for the hell of it. I really like the fit and the material. I can tell it will keep me warm. Took me a few days to figure out there was a hidden pocket on the chest which makes this piece even better. Got it in Fusion and love that pattern. First Lite has honestly never disappointed me. All there products are great and they stand behind what they make.

One of my favorite pieces!!! 8/28/2018

I bought this after hearing the fit would be more tailored than the halstead which I loved but was just so boxy. This is perfect!! The sleeves were a bit shorter and had a taper to them and the fit in the body was much better fitting. I ordered the same size I had in the halstead and it def felt like it was a whole size smaller in the body but was exactly what I wanted it to be. I haven’t had a chance to test it in colder weather to see how warm it is but it’s def be more than enough for our chilly nights here in Maine.

I bought this with after hearing that the fit is better than the Klamath. I wasn’t disappointed. Fits just right, it’s warm and light. It made its place in my pack as my permanent mid layer. Thanks guys!!!

A Must Have! 8/23/2018

If the halstead was a piece you never left home without, you will love the new Klamath! The fit is PERFECT - tapered toward the waist - eliminating the baggy feel that the halstead could get, especially after a lot of use. Whether I am grabbing something quick to put on next to the campfire on a cool autumn night or in need of a solid warm mid-layer or outer layer in the treestand, the Klamath nails it.

Extremely well made mid layer 8/1/2018

Overall very impressed with the quality. This shirt fits very well around your core, sleeves, and neck area. It doesn't "balloon" out in the back along the shirt tail like some camo clothing does. The sleeves are long enough to go over your wrists, so your arms are totally covered even when stretching. The neck comes up to your face, so you have maximum coverage. Very light weight, and warm. The material is quiet with moving. Zipper is high quality and moves easily and quietly. The Fusion camo pattern matches exact with Fusion pants and jacket. By far the best camo/hunting clothing I have ever bought.

Great Product 7/27/2018

The Klamath Quarter Zip is my new favorite. The soft and stretchy material make it very comfortable to wear. When I put it on I don't want to take it off. Also, the fabric is quiet.

How it fits
What I love the most about this product is the fit. I'm 6'6" 220 lbs with long arms. I ordered a XL and the sleeves are a perfect fit for me. I usually just expect products to be to short for me but I couldn't believe how long the sleeves were when I put it on for the first time. Thank you Firstlite!

Improvement on the Halstead 7/19/2018

I like this shirt even more than my Halstead Fleece which is really saying something. It fits the bill perfectly for those chilly mornings and evenings on the water and the chest pocket is a big improvement over the sleeve pocket.

One suggestion is to put thumb hole loops in a future iteration.

How it fits
Fits great. I chatted with CS and they steered me to the XL even though I was a L Halstead.
