Perfection 8/4/2018

I use these a lot early season and spring turkey. They work great just to keep that morning dew off the bottom of your pants walking threw field edges.
Perfect fit. Also great for intended use over the boot under the pant leg just to keep dust and stuff out of your shoes.

First timer 8/2/2018

I've never use gaiter or even thought of using them. Seeing people around me and on social media use these, something finally clicked and I thought these are a great way of keeping debris out of my boots. Even with the triad socks hiked up and using the gaiters was a great idea. They keep everything out of your boots, keep the pricklies off of your laces, keep your laces from coming undone. I'll never hunt or explore without them again.

All season gaiter 8/1/2018

I have some heavier gaiters I use later in the season or during times of bad weather, but didn't realize the value of having a gaiter during warmer months just to keep out rocks/debris/scree. These fit tighter, but I like that. I will be using these until heavy snow hits, and even then, still feel confident that these Traverse gaiters will do the job well.

Keeps debris & moisture out 7/30/2018

I’ve used these in all conditions ranging from dry grass upland game hunting to late season elk with snow and rain and they work great. They keep our debris, water, and snow so your feet stay clean and dry.

Great Gaiters 7/28/2018

I use these gaiters for all my hiking trips. Especially for those early season hunting trips. They won’t make your legs hot and they keep the weeds out of your boots. Might be tight on someone with large calf muscles.

Fantastic, but keep away from the campfire. 7/25/2018

These gaiters were essential from scouting in Central Oregon in the spring to chasing elk in the Eagle Caps in over a foot of snow. They held up for what they were designed for. I burned a hold in one when I put it too close to the campfire to dry out after a day of post holing. Oops.. The L/XL fit my larger lady calfs. I do quite a bit if weight lifting so that has been a struggle in the past finding gaiters that work. Thanks First Light!

Great Product 7/11/2018

I just finished using these for an 85 mile week long hike. I have used them before but was just blown away with how durable and great they worked out. They stayed in place all week and handled a ton of harsh terrain. I let my wife use another top hunting company's gaiters, which were brand new before the hike and they broke on the final day of the hike. She had completely worn through the steal cable that straps under the boots after just a week of use, while the First Lite gaiters were still running strong! I was very very impressed with they way they preformed, buy with confidence!

They are great! 6/3/2018

I use these anytime I hit the woods or trails. They keep rocks, dirt and sticks out of your boots. I high recommend them. They are not waterproof though, which is they only flaw.

Great piece of kit. 6/1/2018

Keep your feet dry in the rain, wet grass, and shallow streams.

Keep debris out of your boots in scree fields and avalanche chutes, and protect your expensive Obsidian pants from briars and devil's club.

The best part is that they do all this without making your lower legs sweat excessively (and subsequently wicking into your socks) and are the quietest gaiters I've used to date.

Other reviews mentioned that the tops are extremely tight around your calves. This is true, but they seem to stretch over time. An adjustable buckle or strap may be a worthwhile addition on future versions.

Nice but tight fit 5/6/2018

If you have any sort of calf muscle at all these are gonna either not fit or be super tight. I have baby calfs and the large barley works.

Great Early Season Gaiter 3/6/2018

These are lightweight, functional, and extremely rugged. I use them for early season scouting and hiking; they do an exceptional job keeping my shoes debris free. They double as an insect deterrent and help keep ticks from getting under my pants. They're cut very comfortably and thin enough that you don't notice them on compared to larger gaiters.

Functional 3/3/2018

Design is great. Material is durable and lightweight. Functional for keeping debris out of boots.

Great/Small for big calves 2/14/2018

Awesome product. Just a little tight if you have big calves like me. Just info im 6ft and athletic 235lbs so not a small person

Seem well built, sizing is off 2/7/2018

Purchased these for those early season hunts, seem well built and lightweight, but the sizing is off. I got the large, they won’t snap even with just 1 layer on. I don’t have very large legs, so imagine it’s a common problem. Gave them to wife to wear, which they just fit. Contacted BlackOvis (who I purchased them from) and they informed me this is a common problem and have made first lite aware and asked them to adjust sizing.

No more rocks down my boots! 2/1/2018

I cant tell you how many times I have had to stop, take my boots off and dump rocks out of my boots or pull cheat grass seeds out of my socks! No more! These gaiters put a stop to that! They even fit over my size 13 L&S Mountain Hunter Boots!

Great Light-weight Gaiter 1/15/2018

Used this summer and fall from hot/dry conditions to light snow. Kept out brush, sticks, stickers, cheat-grass, burs, etc. Keeps my boots tied. Fairly light. They fit snug, so can take a little practice to put on correctly. Durable in rocky/brushy terrain.

Right product, wrong size 12/19/2017

Really like these gaiters - perfect height and made really well. They are extremely tough and did a great job keeping the tops of my boots clean and dry but they are really tight. I am not a huge guy (5'9 200 lbs - so I am a little short for my weight) but these gaiters are really tight trying to get them around my calves even though I got the biggest size. If these were a little bigger they would be perfect.

Great Fit 12/4/2017

Great Fit, Super Light and very comfortable! Also very quiet!

Great early season gaiter 11/23/2017

I've been running these all year. They are a great light weight
And quiet early season necessity. I never leave home without them.

Lower-leg savers 11/16/2017

These are worth the extra two minutes before heading out into the field. They keep your feet dry, your laces tied and free of stickers, and your ankles covered from thorns and anything else you might encounter while walking through the brush. They are the biggest piece of gear that you don't know you're missing. They're a total game changer in terms of comfort. Something you never think about until you realize how nice it is to not have to deal with all the issues and discomfort you can run into when you're not wearing them

Perfect for packpack hunting 10/25/2017

Very small and super light. Work as well as big heavy gators I have worn in the past. Also good to wear over your trail running shoes to keep grass and rocks out of your shoes.

Nickname: Jake
ightweight gaiter 10/3/2017

These are much lighter and easier to pack than a full-size gaiter but that does come with drawbacks. The gaiters are secured with velcro and after heavy use parts of the velcro strips on my pair delaminated from the material. Also after some extended use in the field the velcro is likely to come undone at times so if you don't want snow/other material to get in there you will have to retighten the velcro down. Personally I will sacrifice weight and will be going to a heavier more durable gaiter.

Keeps My Boots Tied 9/29/2017

I wear these pretty much every time I head out wearing my Danner Pronghorns. They keep the burrs and brush from untying my boots, which keeps me on the move.

Nickname: Austin
Great Upland/Hiker Gaiter 9/25/2017

I bought these specifically for upland hunting. When you are walking through tall grass and brush all day chasing pheasants these work great at stopping debris from getting inside your hiking shoes. I tend to wear them under my pants with low profile shoes and once they're on you forget they're there. I wear size 12.5 and the L/XL fit just right over my hiking shoes. They even fit over my L&S Mountain Hunter boots.

Nickname: Jon
Light 9/15/2017

Super light. Comfortable. And one of the most important pieces i never forget

Light and quiet 9/5/2017

Perfect for when a full size gaiter is a overkill. Can't beat them for weight and how quiet they are.

Nickname: Clint
Great Everday Gaiter 8/15/2017

I was very impressed with the fit and Quality. Just a side note, I inquired early on about the sizing of these and if they would fit/compliment the Schnee's 9 " Granite Boots. Was told they'd be to short by Customer Service. I bought them anyway and they are about 3 " longer than the boot and work great !

Thanks for the awesome products.

great gaiters, run small 8/7/2015

For all the ladies out there, get the large! Once ya get your baselayers, pants and hunting shoes on, the smalls won't close. Other than that, pretty rad!
