This is a lightweight piece that is surprisingly warm and even protects from the wind. I don't often need more than this, a chama and a lightweight top.

Great piece of clothing 8/29/2018

I heard lots about First lite clothing from friends and people in the hunting industry so I jumped on board. I was not disappointed. The Halstead tech fleece is amazing. I wear it all the time. I wear it by itself around the house or on slightly chilly days while hunting or fishing. On colder days I'll had another layer of my first light clothing and I'm warm as can be. I'll never go back to any other clothing brand for hunting. First lite has gained me as a customer for life

Versatile 8/29/2018

This piece is a must have for the first lite line. I have used this fleece as an outer layer in the spring and a mid layer in the fall. It's also my go to for under my waders while flyfishing. All around great fleece to have year round!

Great Fleece 8/28/2018

I am a WI hunter and the Halstead is great! I use this all the time in the beginning of bow season. It's lightweight, perfect to put on when the sun starts to set and the temps start to drop. This is also a great product to wear under my heavier jacket during rifle season when the weather really turns cold.

How it fits
For me, the Halstead is a little big but I like to layer with something under. So, I think it's perfect for early fall hunts sitting in a tree stand.

First Layer 8/28/2018

I used this as my first layer above base through archery until the end of rifle. This was great in high 70s hikes as well as 40 degree sits. This is the most versital piece in my layering system. Bought a second one in case they ever stop making it. It will be coming with me to Colorado chasing bugling bulls in sept

Lightweight but warm. 3/24/2018

Excellent for mornings in bow season and early gun season here in Georgia. Lot of grown up clear cuts around here but this shirt is very durable.

Great warmth 3/23/2018

I love the Halstead. Whether it is cool to cold, the Halstead has become one of my go to layering pieces. I have two, one solid and the other in Fusion. Call me old fashion but I think there is a place for fleece in everyone's kit. The Halstead is super comfortable and versatile, from an outdoor layer steelhead/salmon fishing in the early fall to layered under a shell in November for whitetails. I can't say enough about the Halstead.

Nickname: Eric
Great synthetic layer 2/7/2018

I actually love this synthetic fleece. Lightweight, warm, and dries faster than some of the wool pieces. I pack this in while deer hunting, then put it on as a mid layer when I'm sitting in the stand. Very comfortable, and the durability is awesome. I've probably washed it 12 times now and still looks new.

Buy Two 2/6/2018

If you are thinking about purchasing the Halstead Fleece, be sure to buy two. Get one in camo, and one in a solid color to wear around town. One of my favorite shirts to wear in the winter. Keeps you quite warm as a mid-layer. Much love for this fleece. You won't be disappointed.

My GO TO For Everything. 2/5/2018

This quickly became my favorite piece. From a outer layer on a mid October Whitetail hunt, to a Layer on a Sub Zero Duck hunt. It did everything for me this year and I find myself wearing mine a few times a week because I love it so much. Only thing I wish it had as a Little Kangaroo pouch for my hands when worn as a outer layer. The cut is great for big guys in a 2XL and the sleeves stay out of the way of my bow string. Love it so much after I got the first one I bought two more. I have one in Cipher for waterfowl hunting, Fusion for deer Hunting and Dry Earth solid for every day wear.

Nickname: Adam
Love it. 1/23/2018

Can’t say enough about this thing. It’s super comfortable, warm, blocks the wind really well, the fit on its awesome. I have it in a solid color so I can wear it out on the town. Doesn’t ride up when I lift my arms above my head, and the arms are cut great for a long armed guy like myself. I can’t wait till the hooded version comes out so I can own both.

one more in a line of awesome equipmet 1/10/2018

This is another great piece to add to your layering system. It is a go to item in my kit when I go on extended back pack hunts. I view my hunting clothing as hunting equipment and I am only as good as my equipment allows me to be during various weather and performance when I demand it. I highly recommend this item, it has always performed for me as all other first lite items have.

Nickname: Clinton
Excellent Product 1/2/2018

My first First Lite product and I am AMAZED. The quality is top notch and the item is as described. I am 5'8" and 165 lb. and the medium fit great. I cant wait to get another one! Thank you for the great product.

Great layer piece 12/27/2017

This is a great layer piece when it’s cold, and it’s super warm for the weight and thickness. I also like the detail attention, like the way the inside of the collar is a darker color so as not to flash when it’s opened a little. Overall I’m pretty pleased.

Nickname: John
Awesome base/second layer 12/24/2017

My previous favorite mid/heavy fleece was the sitka heavyweight. The Halstead is extremely similar if not identical quilted fleece however, it fits me better and doesn't have have a super long drop-tail like the sitka piece. I'm living daily in this top now. Love it. If first lite will make a hooded version I'm all over it.

One of my faborite pieces.......really good warmth to weight ratio 12/7/2017

This tech fleece is one of my favorite first lite items. It has really good warmth to weight ratio and so far is proving quite durable. I love it over a lightweight merino wool base in early season, or as a mid insulation layer later in the year. If I could make one improvement it would be pockets......when worn as an outer layer you will find yourself wishing you had two pockets down low to warm your hands or stow items. I actually have it on today a work day, as is it is rainy 42 degrees outside.

Perfect mid layer 11/24/2017

It's ok 11/16/2017

I'm struggling to find someone with same issue I had/have with this fleece. I bought it primarily to wear when I'm not hunting, and the logo, especially on the sleeve, started peeling off within the first month of owning it. Why was a cheap screen print used on $125 product? Put some stitches in those bad boys... no one knows what I'm wearing is first lite anymore! :)

Nickname: Mike
Warm and light mid layer 10/31/2017

This piece did everything I expected from it. It is both strong on it's own and awesome to layer on top of your merino pieces as well. The garment is strong, light weight, and amazingly warm. I recommend this for anyone looking for a fleece top to add to their clothing system. I hunt in British Columbia Canada where weather conditions can get nasty quick and I always have my halstead fleece with me. Great for layering over a chama hoody as well.

Nickname: Jarnovsi
Great Top 10/31/2017

This was one of my first products from First Lite, and I've been very happy with the Halstead. I only have two slight issues with the top. One is the fit, which is loose on me, even when layered; however this is more than likely due to my being extremely lean. The top also had a few loose threads out of the bag, which is a slight disappointment. Both of those qualms have no major influence on performance though. As my second layer the Halstead helped keep me comfortable in the low 40s and 50s, and offers a lot of flexibility for varying degrees of weather that may occur.

Nickname: Coy E
great versatile top 10/23/2017

Recently wore this while hunting in Wyoming. combined it with the LLano LS merino top. great combo. comfortable and warm but did not over heat even when temps rose to high 50'sF. This and the LLano will always be in my duffle.

Nickname: Todd
simple all around layer 10/18/2017

I love this fleece. It's simple without any bells and whistles but can add a lot of warmth without much weight. The collar is generously tall and fit snuggly making it great for not losing heat when it starts to get cold. I don't use the pocket on the sleeve and may be more likely to use if it was on the chest but feel this is the kind of layer where you don't really need or want pockets.

A note on the sizing. I'm a large in all my other FL tops but when this arrived it was way roomy so sent back for medium. Medium fit perfect.

Nickname: Graham
Can't go wrong 10/12/2017

I was skeptical of a fleece that costs over $100.00, but this piece is amazing. Incredibly comfortable and the fit is flawless. I'm 6'3 and 170 pounds and the medium fits well, the small even fits me pretty well so they do run a little big. If you can swing it, it's worth the money.

Nickname: Galin
Good product 10/7/2017

First of all this product is breathable, lightweight, and quiet. It will be a great addition to the First Lite gear i already own. But my only reason for the 3 star rating is that the chest, and body length for my Large was perfect, but the sleeves are 6 inches to long. I did not return the product because i am afraid that a medium would be to small in the body area. Overall great product as usual from this company, just need to fine tune there sizing.

This would be considered an Every Day Carry piece of clothing for me. This fleece goes everywhere with me whether hunting, fishing, or just enjoying my time outside.

Awesome Fleece, just BIG 10/4/2017

This fleece qtr zip is an awesome piece for people looking to layer, but be careful it is BIG! I am 5'10 185 and ordered the large. The sleeves are much longer than I would like as well as the chest/shoulder area. I think a medium would be better suited for me.

Continued quality 9/12/2017

Another great product from First Lite. My go to top whether glassing in the morning or evening, hiking or hunting all day. Cuts the wind and keeps me warm. Doesn't take up much room in my pack either.

Great warmth to weight ratio and dries quick. Another great piece for layering. Very comfortable!

Great mid layer 8/26/2017

This is the perfect mid weight layer that is super comfortable and can be used in multiple applications. Due to its versatility, this is a layer that I wear more than any other. Firstlite listened to previous complaints and fixed the collar. The Halstead Tech Fleece I have came with the brown color on the interior of the collar.

Functional 2nd Layer 8/18/2017

This is probably one of my favorite pieces I own. It doesn't matter if it is an early season antelope hunt or a late season elk hunt, this is always either on me or in my pack. During your early season hunts this is a great early morning piece, or just a piece that you wear while you are spending a lot of time sitting. Late season hunts I have this either under my uncompahgre puffy vest (favorite piece), Storm Tight Rain jacket, or as my outer most layer over top my long sleeve chama. It is super light, but heavy enough to keep you warm and keep that slight breeze off. If you are at all torn between buying this piece or not, absolutely do it. You will use it more than any other piece you own. Guaranteed.

Any weather wear 7/31/2017

This is the finest cold weather piece of clothing I have ever owned and I consider myself a gear whore. I have one that I wear hunting that is thrashed and another for daily wear. This drys fast, cuts the wind, keeps me warm but I don't get that sticky/no breathing feeling in it. The pocket location couldn't be any better and the deep zipped is perfect for air flow. I always have this in my pack as it's weight is so minimal yet it offers so much warmth. I actually gave up my 750 down jacket and switched to this fleece and the uncompadry down jacket (also amazing) and feelbim just as warm and have the benifit of layering.

Nickname: Mk7mmstw
Great Mid-Weight Layer 7/17/2017

The Halstead is a great Mid-Weight Layer that I pair with a Llano SS or a Chama underneath for my early to mid October Illinois bow hunts for Whitetail.

Nickname: Seth T.
Not Firstlite's best product 6/30/2017

My whole hunting system is pretty much Firstlite gear and this is probably my least favorite piece of gear. With only one small sleeve pocket this really limits the jacket as a true outer layer. If you are like me and take a lot of gear hunting you will miss not having more pockets. The sizing also seems to be off. I'm 6'0 195lbs and wear a large in all my Firstlite tops and jackets. The large in this jacket is huge. The sleeves around the upper arm are extremely puffy while the sleeve part around the forearms is tight. There is also a ton of room to layer underneath which would be a good thing if this was a better outer layer with more pockets. I have another brand micro fleece jacket that has pockets, a built in hood and face mask that will see a lot more use than the Halstead fleece.

Nickname: Troy
Love my Halstead. 6/14/2017

Bought one of these in a solid for everyday use. It is perfect for those cool evenings. I like the more athletic fit of this top. Its very lightweight with good length in the body and sleeves. I ordered a medium like I do with most other First Lite gear and the fit was right on (6ft, 170lbs). I actually really like the pocket on the arm, just wish it was the same color as the rest of the top. Get one, you won't regret it.

Nickname: wthomas333
Awesome for hunting and everyday use 6/5/2017

The First Lite Halstead fleece is awesome! I have one in pine and one in fusion. I wear the pine one ALL the time (fusion is just for hunting). It is so comfortable and keeps me warm! The small fits me great (I am a 5'3 woman, about 120lbs). The arms are a little long but this fleece is sized for men, so I figured that might happen. The sleeves do stay up fine though, so the length doesn't concern me too much. I went turkey hunting this spring and it was little chilly in the mornings. The Halstead paired with a couple base layers (women's Lupine crew and Artemis hoodie) kept me warm in 30-40 degree temps sitting in a blind. Overall, I highly recommend this fleece!

Nickname: Bailey
Good product 5/3/2017

I'm a bigger guy and always found it hard to find reviews on the internet to help me with my first lite purchases, I'm about 6' and 250lbs and I just got my xl in the mail, it fits great length was just fine and there wasn't a ton of extra round around my center section but I didn't feel constricted what so ever, I did feel like this fleece is a little more on the light side but I haven't had an opportunity to test it out in cold weather, looking forward to really putting it to the test.

Nickname: TaylorW
Great Middle Layer 4/18/2017

If you are looking for a way to beef up the shoulder season warmth of your layering kit this is a great place to start. Throw it over the top of your Chama and Llano layers and it is plenty warm for glassing up spring bear or early morning deer season. Don't totally get the arm pocket. The only thing I think I can think of to use it for is maybe my elk reeds? I think pockets in the front for your hands would be a little more practical. But that is my only complaint. Love the tall neck. Very glad I made the purchase. Medium fits a little big on 5'9'' 175.

Nickname: Allan
Perfect Layer 4/8/2017

For sizing reference I am 5'11" 180lbs, and the medium size fits perfect. Its a little loose on its own which I think is fine for layering purposes.
The grid fleece makes range of motion very handy, you can easily draw a bow, or shoulder a rifle with no stretching or discomfort.
My favorite part of this fleece is the material. Its cool enough to keep you comfortable by itself in 50-70 degrees, but warm enough when used as a mid layer to keep you comfortable at anything below 50 degrees.
The only reason I did not give it a 5 star is simply because after wearing it only a few times I have already noticed some pilling. But nothing too major.

Nickname: Nathan
Best all around product ever created!! 3/16/2017

I have this in fusion and this shirt is great for chilly weather while sitting in your stand, and it's amazing for the cold frigid days while your out hiking looking for sheds or doing some winter scouting. I would also wear this pretty much everyday whether relaxing in the house or shopping with my wife ( if she would let me haha). Very quiet, lightweight, and fantastic mobility!! If I could afford to, I would have one in every color.

Halstead got me hooked!! 3/7/2017

This was the first Product I purchased from First Lite and wow! I was instantly impressed. I became my go to garment last deer season. The comfort and quality are unmatched. I am 6'2" 230 and an XL fit me just about perfect.

Nickname: Chris
Fantastic all around layer for backcountry hunting 1/5/2017

I picked up one of these to compliment my Chama and Llano layers, and it didn't take me long to realize that I'd found my perfect hunting fleece. The Halstead fleece is comparable in warmth to much, much thicker and heavier fleece jackets, while yet once the temps warm up it packs away easily with minimal bulk.

While frankly I've been surprised at the durability of the Merino wool layers, the Halstead is nice when worn as an outer layer when hunting with a backpack and hip belt and/or working through heavy brush, and yet when things get really bad I can easily fit a shell or puffy jacket on top as an outer layer for maximum protection.

I especially like the way the collar is stitched, as zipped-up it provides protection from the wind and yet when unzipped it "splays" in such a way that it doesn't interfere with a bow string (which often happens with other fleeces).

Warm, lightweight, durable, and packs easily. Not a lot of room for improvement.

Nickname: Mick
Super versatile piece 1/2/2017

I wore the Halstead at 12,000' in September in Colorado, and at 20' in November in Pennsylvania. This piece is a super warm mid layer for it's weight. I love the stretch and the grid fleece. They work together well to keep you warm and unrestricted. It can be a little tough to get on and off because the grid fleece likes to grab onto merino but that's just the nature of the beast. Length of the torso and sleeves was perfect. Exterior is very quiet and easy to put a jacket on over top of it if needed.

Nickname: Justin
Best mid weight layer 1/2/2017

This is by far the best mid weight piece of gear on the market, not to mention a great top layer for those warmer days, over the charma zip or hoody. I've had the pleasure to use this this year for the last couple months in all situation in the backcountry and on the river for waterfowl hunting. Highly recommend adding this to your layering system.
Enjoy!

Great mid layer 1/1/2017

I have now switched all my gear to First Lite and will not think twice after this season. The products are great. I did not wear this as much as my other pieces, due to weird weather this hunting season. The collar on this is pretty tall, getting close to the point of too tall. The zipper pocket on the arm is what seems like an iron on pocket. Almost like they thought they needed a pocket there after the fact. Mine has began to fall off, no big deal for me, I never used it. All in all, I would and recommend it, it is a nice addition.

Nickname: Brad B.
Great for a variety of applications 12/5/2016

When I hunt I want something that I can use all season. This fleece is perfect for year round hunting. It keeps you nice and warm with the waffled fleece and it drys fast if you sweat in it. I like the half zip because it is easier to ventilate if it is too warm. I do like the sleeve pocket, although I haven't really found a use for it yet. The sleeve cuffs stay nice and tight around the wrists. I am a bowhunter so it is important that the sleeves and shoulders don't restrict my motion. The shooter's cut allows a very fluid draw; as if the fleece wasn't even there. The material is also very light and quiet. All in all, You can't go wrong with First Lite gear!

Nickname: Dylan
Almost perfect 11/21/2016

when hunting multiple days and airing out your gear, a loop at base of neck or base of fleece would be key. Otherwise you tie fleece arms around branch or hook etc. small detail, but otherwise a great mid weight layer.

Nickname: Michael B
Great Versatility 11/17/2016

I've been using this as an outer layer over merino during rifle season and it has been great. It's quiet, durable, lightweight, and the sleeves and torso are long enough for tall guys. The sleeve pocket is pretty handy for a couple of diaphragm calls. It's a useful layer and I'll be purchasing more of them.

Great for Crisp days or an Active baselayer! 11/16/2016

The Halstead tech fleece is one of the most versatile pieces of clothing I own. Whether wearing it for an extra layer on a crisp New England spring Turkey hunt or wearing it on the hike in to your stand when the Mercury drops so you don't work up a sweat before you sit down and put on your sanctuary jacket. I'm 6ft 190 lbs and athletic build, Large fits me well.

The Perfect Midlayer Fleece 11/7/2016

I use the Halstead Tech Fleece with the Llano crew base layer & Kanab pant and it is a fantastic combo. The fit of the Halstead is spot on IMO. I'm 5'11" and 210 and the large fits me just right. Sleeves are nice 'n long and not baggy. The tall neck is really nice on those cold mornings and the zipper flap did a great job keeping my beard and chin happy. I highly recommend this fleece.

Details 10/29/2016

Out of the box you notice a real attention to product details. From stitching to length of zipper and pulls. All great. My feeling is it runs large - I am 6 feet 195 lbs, broad chest / back / shoulders with 35 waist. I ordered the large and shoulders fit, arms nice and long but body was massive. I ordered the medium and with a t shirt underneath shoulders fit, chest was fine (not super tight but not excessively large), sleeves good length. What is important to note is the fabric is really stretchy. Not supposed to shrink - but even if there was some tightening- still fine.

Very versatile during early and late season hunts. 10/25/2016

Here in Nevada the archery season starts Aug 10th and the temps vary from low 40s in the morning to 100 plus during the day. I used this fleece as my only other layer second to my aero-wool and I could not have been happier. I was always warm when we were hiking or sitting and never wet. I love the half zipper for ventilation and after 8 days in the field it still never smelled bad. I just let it air out over night and it was like new in the morning. Im going to be ordering another one just for the winter around our property. Thanks Fisrt Lite for another great product.

Good mid-weight option. 10/4/2016

The Halstead fleece is a nice option for moving or static hunts on chilly days. The grid pattern inside is nice for moisture wicking and weight reduction. I would choose this layer for fair weather, as the Halstead does not provide much wind or water protection. I am 6'0, 215 lbs and a large fits great.
This piece is identical to the one I wore while in the Army. (Minus the Fusion pattern) Nice to see the design available to the civilian/hunting market.
My Fusion Halstead featured a brown collar, so it seems that First Lite addressed the issue with the white collar.
With proper layering, this fleece is a great all season option. This piece is not merino wool, so I'm not sure how odor control will be in the long run. The side pocket is heat welded and appears to be well constructed. Not sure what I'll throw in the pocket, but I suppose it's a nice option.
The Halstead is a nice option to have in your pack.

Comfort 8/25/2016

Unbelievably comfortable. Fits true to size, maybe a little big. light weight and warm. I will wear this all winter long. The collar lays down nicely and doesn't get in the way of the bow string. Thin and not bulky. I love this fleece!

Perfect for late season archery 8/5/2016

I purchased this for my late season archery hunt here in Utah. Season runs mid September until October. The merino wool is absolutely amazing, the quality of this fleece jacket is well built. I not only wear this hunting but even out to dinner, events ect. I am able to wear this hiking in early morning before sunrise when temps are 40 degrees and can where it throughout the day while hunting when temps reach high 60's. Fit is perfect, not to tight not to loose. I would recommend this to anyone considering this fleece jacket.

Great Garment 7/22/2016

Favorite First Lite Top. Great for hunting and running around town. The arm pocket is a little silly but looks really good aesthetically. This over a llano qz with red desert and aleghenny bottoms on and some hunting pants and I am ready to go. All you need is a jacket for when it gets really cold.

Perfect addition 7/13/2016

Need something middle of the road for warmth? I'm an active hunter that is usally sweaty once I get to my spot where I hang out till last light. I keep this in my pack for when I cool off because it's so light and does the job. I throw this over my Llano top and I couldn't ask for more! Just remember to take it off before you hike out, or you will heat up quick! Perfect addition for the Pacific NW, Oregon coast

Love it 6/23/2016

Great and light weight. Yet warm for the mornings and easily compressible so it packs like a dream. Very warm!

Peeling logos 5/15/2016

The fit on this Halstead fleece is spot on, i am 6'4 and usually have a difficult time with sleeve length, but this fit just right. The only drawback i have on this product is that the First Lite logos on the sleeve and chest started peeling off before i had even got a chance to put it through the wash. The logos obviously don't matter when it comes to the Halstead's field performance, however the peeling iron-on logos make the product appear cheaply made, and for those of us who love this product and want to promote it by telling all of our friends, it makes them question its quality.

My favorite midlayer 5/11/2016

This is my favorite midlayer/fleece jacket ever. For now I only own it in Fusion for hunting, but I continually exercise extreme self-control by not buying it in black, pine, and dry earth for everyday wear. Last year in high activity I wore it with a lightweight baselayer and I was comfortable. I layered it over the Chama hoody for extra warmth in the mid-season whitetail woods and added the Uncompaghre on top for late season. Buy it now!

Pleasingly warm 5/5/2016

This is a great piece to add to your FL arsenal. It's light and surprisingly warm for how thin it is. I like the length of this product. It makes tucking your clothing in easy without having to worry about them coming untucked. Once it is on, the product works great. It is however a bit of a pain in the butt getting it on over your merino though. This product sticks like crazy to the merino for some reason. The thumb loops for sure help out though when feeding your arms through the Halstead. I have to do quite a bit adjusting of the piece, while putting it on, but afterwards it works like a champ.

Great All Around Layer 4/30/2016

When I first received my Halstead, first thing I noticed was how light it really was. I really like the gridded fleece pattern on the inside. I wore my halstead to a 3d shoot in early March where the temperature in the morning was low to mid 30's and by the end of the shoot it was up to mid-high 60's. I was able to where it the entire time without getting to hot or too cold. I did notice that it wasn't windproof.

The sizing for the Halstead is very true to the First Lite Sizing table. I am a short guy (5'4") with a large chest and short arms, I ordered the medium because I was right on the edge of the table between the small and medium for my chest circumference. I think I would have ordered a small next time due to the arms being a little long. The material is pretty Stretchy.

I am not sure that i will ever use the pocket on the left shoulder sleeve, but it is there if you wanted to put your phone in or whatever.

Overall, even though the Halstead isn't First Light's signature Merino Wool I love the versatility of the halstead, and I think it will be a great layer for those early season elk or high country muley hunts where its cold in the morning and warms up throughout the day.

Great for Whitetails 4/25/2016

I chase whitetails each fall in several states and the halstead, belongs on the gear list!
spray it down and carry it in the woods with you, once that evening chill settles in, throw on the halstead and continue hunting.

Warm but with flaws 7/29/2015

I love the feel, fit and warmth of this piece. My complaint is why the Fusion color has a white lining? Even when its zipped all the way up, it has a 1/2" white ring at top of collar. when its not zipped and the collar is folded down it shows all the white on inside of collar. Any color but white, please!

Fusion Tech Fleece 4/13/2015

I am 6'1", 190# and the Large fit perfect. It is soft quiet material. My only complaint is there is a one inch blazing white strip around the top of the collar. I don't get it? Why not make it brown, green, or something other than white? I spent over $100 for this and now have to find a way to color the white material. I love everything else about it.

Good Grid-Fleece Layer 2/15/2015

Warm for the weight. Not wind proof and not advertised as such. I am cold natured and I use this product in 35-40 weather w/ a light weight merino base layer and the Halstead over with medium exertion. Anything more and I'm shedding it.

Just bought number 2! 2/2/2015

Bought my first in Pine to see if I could add over my Chama QZ. Seriously.....not sure why this garment is not talked about more. I understand that it isn't First Lite's signiture merino wool But I can honestly say at some point I might own one of every color/pattern. I wear it all the time! Hiking, hunting, camping, hanging out or just sitting around the house. A lot of times I don't wear a shirt under because how comfortable it is. They say it can stink if worn without washing for days on end but I haven't experienced that yet. Will be in Montana in October to test the theory but regardless, First Lite, I appreciate this garment!

I want another one! 12/23/2014

I bought one of these for hunting this season and love it! I use it with a base layer underneath and it kept me warm in 35 degree weather, I especially like the full range of motion that it allows, not bulky at all. I unzip it all the way when I am walking to the stand and zip up when I get settled. I want another one to wear year round. It is definitely one of my favorite pieces of gear.

Great item 10/20/2014

Really high quality piece from First Lite. very warm and light and thin. Only critique is I wish it had some front pockets. Again a real high quality piece of gear. Would recommened without hesitation.

Great for Hiking, hunting, and pleasure! 7/22/2014

I love fleece shirts and especially waffle shirts. This one is great at keeping me warm and it is very comfortable. The sizing seems spot on as well. Great all around product that will have a place in my pack for years to come!

Great For Hunting Not so Great for Beer Drinking 6/18/2014

Large is a great fit for 6'2" 185 lb; long tail and sleeves I'm especially fond of. Tail for tucking and staying tucked, long sleeves because I have monkey arms.
The waffled fleece is the shit. I've owned probably a half dozen R1 zip t's from Patagonia and they've always worn like iron, dried fast and been the perfect mid layer.
#%@&%@!!!!! sleeve pocket
I'm sure there is a functional reason for it, but the stitching around the zipper makes for a weird fold on the chest and from a purely style standpoint: it looks odd. I wouldn't buy it for beer drinking.
I like the tall collar; very functional for getting toasty and keeping the wind off the neck.
Dry Earth color: great for hunting, not so great for beer drinkin'
