This is a great top for hot weather but layers perfectly for cooler weather too. Love the thumb holes. I wore this three days in a row with no detectable odor in 90 degree weather scouting miles a day. Is quite snug and went up a size.
Pattern blends in great in the Hudson Valley, NY woods, fits a little snug if you use as a mid layer, but fine if it's on its own. Super comfortable! Works great with the rest of the gear I have. I used this as a mid layer over a different brand's base layer, and the First Lite Aurora Puff. I normally do get cold sitting still for long periods, but I stayed toasty!
Recommend sizing up unless you like your hunting attire to be skin tight. Other than that, this is my go to base layer! I love that I can wear it hunting in A zone in 110 degree heat and be fine! I also find that this shirt doesn't retain hardly any body odor from long days on the hunt which is nice.
The is the most comfortable shirt I've ever put on. The aerowool is awesome for staying comfortable in drastically changing temps in the mountains. This is perfect for early season archery elk hunting but can be worn as a base layer in almost all times of year. I want a closet full of these so I can wear them every day for everything. I've also had very positive experiences with Fusion camo... I was completely exposed to the archery elk I got this past year at close range wearing this top among other Fusion pieces and the elk could not see me whatsoever. The only thing to be aware of is that they run small... I normally order Women's small in everything but had to size up to medium for this to get the fit I wanted.
Wow, these are the bee's knees for base layers in cool or cold weather. I am a rather well endowed woman (G cup) and always ended up in a men's top when buying hunting clothes. I took the plunge with these and was recently able to test them as long johns in cooler weather while camping in New England. Just a wonderful top... Comfortable, not itchy, tail is long enough to keep you warm when you bend or reach for something, warm, and I love the thumbholes. As I was on the road hopping campgrounds and hotels, I can say that you can do a respectable washing job in the shower of any cheap hotel or campground bathhouse. I used the mini bar soap, rang out the excess moisture, wrapped the top in a towel like a swiss cake roll, pressed on it, left it to dry overnight in the towel (don't want to stretch the material by hanging), and then popped a hair dryer into the arm holes for a few minutes to finish the process. Dead easy and worked like a charm.
