Wow, these are the bee's knees for base layers in cool or cold weather. I took the plunge with these and was recently able to test them as long johns in cooler weather while camping in New England. Just a wonderful bottom... Comfortable, not itchy, long enough to keep you warm when you bend or reach for something, warm, and I love the crotch not having awful seams or riding up. As I was on the road hopping campgrounds and hotels, I can say that you can do a respectable washing job in the shower of any cheap hotel or campground bathhouse. I used the mini bar soap, rang out the excess moisture, wrapped the top in a towel like a swiss cake roll, pressed on it, left it to dry overnight in the towel (don't want to stretch the material by hanging), and then popped a hair dryer into the leg holes for a few minutes to finish the process. Dead easy and worked like a charm.

Cute and Comfy

This is my new go-to base layer after taking it to elk camp in the Wind River Range this past week. I wore them independently, in my bag or under a technical field pant and it kept the chill out. I wish I would have purchased the top now! I found the pant fit a little big, but that didn't matter to them staying put. I'll certainly be getting another pair and the top for late season hunts this fall.

Fit Comments: I’m 5’4 and 140-150 pounds and I got a medium and they’re so comfy! The waistband isn’t too tight and they have a nice stretchy fabric.
All around excellent

Got these for birthday in late October, & was expecting them to just like regular base layers pants but they’re way better than I expected! I’ve worn them the hunting all November and my legs are warmer than they’ve ever been! Not going to say I don’t get cold at all because whitetail hunting & just sitting there gets chilly with even the best clothing. Conclusion is they’re beyond worth getting and the fit is excellent!

Warm, versatile hoodie

This hoodie hits the spot for me—it's great on a September day in the high 40s/low 50s as a standalone, and it's great as a layer on a snowy day that hits the teens or lower. I really like the thumb holes, and personally I like the fitted hood—when it gets chilly, I can pull the hood over my head and zip it up, then put a hat on top of it. It's really wonderfully versatile; I haven't overheated in it, but have also worn it hiking 4 miles after sundown with the temperature dropping, and it kept me warm that whole way with no other layers.

Great overall base layer pant

Whether wearing the Kiln Long Janes on their own relaxing at base camp, sleeping in them or layered under my Alturas Guide pants, they are form fitting, comfortable and warm. Moisture wicking, odor control, durability and flexibility are all on point.
