This thing's awesome. Got as a Christmas gift this year and was able to test it out in Michigan's UP while ice fishing. It fits perfectly, not too tight or loose, the face cover being made of Merino wool is a great touch, along with Merino around the ears so you can hear. Everything else is windproof, stayed nice and warm on the snowmobile ride to our fishing spot and while jigging outside the shanty. Couldn't have asked for anything better. Just buy it, you won't be disappointed.
Finally, a balaclava that fits! Snug, but not too tight. Easy pull down in the front and love that you can actually hear out of it! Tapered down the front and back to seal off your body heat. I am bald and usually 2-3 layers on my head. I hunted in low 30 degree temps with 20 mph winds in my face all night. I never had to put on another layer. Thank you, First Lite! Oh- and it's warm as hell. Buy it. You will not regret it.
I’m 6’3/220#..the osfa is perfect. Doesn’t shift when you look right or left. Toasty warm yet not hot. Very comfortable. Covers entire neck and keeps the wind at bay. Wish I bought it years ago. A must have for cold weather activities
This thing is awesome, it was a little tight under my ATV helmet but that was expected with all the wool on the inside, kept me very warm and comfortable even at high speeds and the thin fabric around the ears is great for hearing and doesn't let them get cold either, only thing I would change is the mouth area is covered with just merino fabric to allow you to breath and call which is great, but it extends all the way down the full length of the mask, I would change that and have the fabric go down to your chin and then below have the wool again to keep your neck warm. Other then that its a great piece of kit and I highly recommend it!
