Very Warm!

I haven't been able to hunt with these yet, but I wore them during our recent snowstorm and they were great. They fit a bit tight when they first arrived, but after breaking them in they are great. Love the wrist loop and the liner is removable for drying. Look forward to trying them during BC Whitetail next year.

Grizzly 2.0 Trigger Mitt

Absolutely love these Grizzly 2.0 Trigger Mitts! They cut wind like no other and keep unwanted moisture from building up! Also, I like the fact that you can take the glove off and the wrist bracelet keeps the glove attached to you, essential with the Montana wind. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a all-in-one cold weather mitt!

Product Size: S
Fit Comments: amazing!!!!
Location: outdoors, in Rhode Island (and briefly, Antarctica)
Primary Use: outermost insulation on the toughest days, or when I have a long stint of behavioral obs to do in the field. My study species can start courtship in Jan-Feb and I have to be out there at sunrise every day and will often be sitting in the same spot for LONG hours.
Simply the best! Performed in Antarctica, and sized small for the ladies.

I chose the Grizzly 2.0 for my overmitts on a recent trip to Antarctica. They performed wonderfully for hours spent glassing for seabirds in polar winds! I chose this glove because the description and reviews noted that it runs a bit small-- always a good bet if you're a lady shopping for outdoors gear-- and it was clearly the right one. Now it's time to get them in Cipher...

Fit Comments: Runs a whole size small if you go by the sizing chart
Location: Iceland
Primary Use: Waterfowl and other low-exertion activities in freezing weather.
Great glove, runs ONE WHOLE SIZE SMALL if you follow the sizing chart

I am really close to being a true size M according to the sizing chart on this website. In fact, the circumference of my hand is actually closer to size S and than L, but the length is a slam-dunk size M, I read one of the reviews that the gloves ran very small so I decided to take a risk and go with size L. Thank you, whoever wrote that. The gloves arrived and the size L was a PERFECT fit with no glove liners on. I wouldn't want them a fraction smaller in any way. If you're usually between M and L in gloves, do yourself a favor and go with the L.

Now for the actual gloves:
What a great piece of equipment. I haven't used it hunting yet, but I took them to work and stood outside in -5° C (23° fahrenheit) for 4 hours without moving much. I layered up as usual but my hands are usually the first to go cold if I'm not moving. My hands were warm the whole time. The feel and overall quality of the gloves is GREAT. The shell, outer palm and inner glove just ooze quality. The wrist bands are a great touch and they do come in handy. I can't speak for the durability but I think these will stand the test of time if treated properly. That's why I'm giving them five stars even though they run a whole size small.

I tried pulling the trigger on my shotgun (Franchi Affinity) using snap caps and it wasn't too bad. Pulling the trigger took a little more effort than normally but it worked out fine. Pushing the safety button and then sliding the finger in was very doable. I have relatively small fingers so your experience may vary. With gloves this thick, this minor inconvenience is totally acceptable in my eyes and I plan on using these for waterfowl hunting in freezing weather.

Product Size: M

Primary Use: November mule deer
Great late season glove

I wore these during a November MT mule deer hunt. They were most utilized on the 45 minute quad ride, with temps in the teens and down to 0*, to and from the trail head. With my pointer finger moved over to the mitten side my hands stayed warm.
These gloves are a little bulky, but it is still easy enough to glass, with being able to pull binos in and out of their harness.
Would highly recommend these versatile gloves for the late season!
