Late Season Whitetail - Midwest
Nate Lijewski: Customer Service Rep
Late season whitetail hunting can feature some of the most arduous yet rewarding moments in a hunter’s career. By the time November & December roll around you can count on it being cold, snowy and downright miserable at times but achieving success favors those with tenacity in the woods. This late season kit will always favor warmth & comfort for long sits in the tree stand or blind for this reason. My core tops are the Aerowool 200 Fuse Henley with the Merino-X 250 Kiln Quarter Zip & 350 Furnace Quarter Zip layered over for versatility that is stench-free for prolonged use at deer camp. To round out my uppers I cap these baselayers with the whisper quiet Sanctuary jacket. On the bottom, I always reach for the 350 Furnace Long Johns to throw underneath the all-purpose Obsidian pants before adding the Sanctuary bibs. With its drop seat zipper system for heat management on the morning walks to the stand, the bibs give me all the luxury I need to stay out longer. To round out my kit I wear the Zero Cold Weather OTC sock, Grizzly Cold Weather Gloves, Tundra Cold Weather Balaclava, and Merino Beanie.
