Jacket feels good, and as First Lite says, order up a size. I usually wear a Medium, but went up a size on this one to a Large. The jacket fits perfect. Can't wait for it to cool down a bit to actually wear it in the woods! This jacket is the perfect addition to my First Lite arsenal.
Purchased a Medium initially, ended up returning for a Large, too snug for my liking in the arms and shoulders. I wear a Large in Kuiu and Sitka, but it was recommended that I drop a size for FL, at least with this jacket I am still a Large.
Snug in the arms, not too tight, perfect for archery. I like the idea of the front insulation without the excessive back schweatiness. So far it’s been to warm to test it much, but the fit all around is excellent. The nylon front seems quieter than I’d expect also.
6'1'', long arms and 33-34 waist.
Ordered Large and then XL as I wasn't sure which would fit better with two layers underneath(Kiln Hoody and Wool shirt). The Arm length is awesome by the way. XL was baggy around my waist(Is this for fat guys who sit in treestands all day?) but a bit more comfy across the shoulders. I went with the Large as it sits better around my waist. I just pull the sleeves up a little and it takes the tension off from across the shoulders. Material on chest is thicker nylon fleece so its going to stop the wind while I'm sheephunting here in BC, and it isn't reflective at all.
First Lite did it again. Great product, you can tell a lot of time went into this products design every stitch is designed around the hunter. No more back sweat lugging your pack around.
Sawtooth Hybrid Jacket exceeded my expectations. Great quality and fit. Awesome addition to my hunting appeal.
So far enjoying this jacket. Breathability is a necessity for hunting in south Alabama, and this gives the perfect balance of that and protection from the wind, making tree stand sits or spot and stalks comfortable.
Warm, light, great pocket sizes, hood is amazing. I wear this as a standalone light jacket or as a layering piece. Very versatile to say the least. Runs a little big. Kept it anyway.
Very impressed with this piece! I haven’t worn it in the field yet, but, if anyone with my body type reads this get the XL! The sleeves run snug so when in doubt, get the bigger size. Very comfortable, silent, and fits perfectly. The back also has some extra fabric which is nice, overall I’m excited as heck to test this piece. Cheers.
The jacket is lightweight and breathable. I like the extra insulation in the chest and shoulders as well as the lack of insulation in the back. It is form fitting, especially in the arms. If you plan on layering under the jacket then I would buy a size up per the recommendation. You can probably get away with ordering your true size if all you plan to wear under it is a T or a wick shirt.
I love the idea of having a hoodie similar to others First Lite offers but with some added insulation around the core. I have yet to try it out in any cold weather but I can feel the massive amounts of warmth this produces from almost nothing! I got the XL for fear of being too tight, but I could have easily gone with a large
