I wear pretty much everything sized in the top end of medium. The fit on this jacket is the perfect fit, and even better when layered. I run FL merino base layers, and combined with the puffy, and the fit is perfect with layer up or down. The sleeves cuffs are a hair tight, but that’s the same with any gear over used prior. The length is perfect fit bending over or sitting down, without the back riding up
Went to upsate NY early season, this was a great addition to all my other baselayers. I like the fit and feel and was great around camp as well. Very warm for those cool evenings and morning sits. While on this trip the temps ranged from 38-75 degrees. Jacket is designed to fit close to the body which is awesome for bow hunting. Very warm jacket paired with the correct base layer. I love the pockets and hood also. The hood is the best I have used on a jacket so far.
I am 5'11", 195 lbs. I tend to fit somewhere between L/XL. I ordered a L. It fits great and is tailored to accommodate light layering underneath. It fits well with my 250g Merino hoodie underneath. The jacket repels water very well and cuts the wind. A great cool weather jacket. It is lightweight jacket so do not expect to use in frigid temperatures.
Always in my pack, I run this from august glassing to late archery hunts. Quiet, warm, breathable and the fit is perfect !
This jacket is so light, it takes up very little room in my pack and it works so good. I've used this in rain and windy conditions without any issues. It feels good and not bulky with a pack on, or drawing your bow. It feels almost too light and thin but I've used it in cold situations and wet and it sheds water well and kept me warm. It has a slightly loose fit to it which is nice. Some athletic cuts feel too tight, not this jacket.
I'd buy this again and again.
Fits perfect and quality is beyond what i had imagined and is superior to my Kuiu gear. I was worried about the fit across the chest having a 48 inch chest and long arms, plenty of room with out feeling like i was swimming in it. Bought for an upcoming november hunt in kodiak. Cant wait to put it to the test along with the corrugate guide pants.
Received my jacket and bib set last week and couldn't be happier!
Only complaint, is that it arrived in Canada within two days and I had to explain to the wife why I ordered new hunting gear in the middle of summer!
Fit is great, super quiet.
Cannot wait to use it in the field come the fall
Purchased the Catalyst system for a late season Wyoming Whitetail hunt. I layer with the Kiln Hoody as my base, followed by the Furnace Quarter Zip, then the Catalyst Jacket and Pants. I wear a size medium (32" waist, 41" chest), and all the layers lay nicely without bunching. The athletic cut is perfect for my build, as I do not like baggy items when hunting, bow hunting. I do not suspect that I will have any issues keeping warm with the layers I currently run. I like the cuffs on the Catalyst Jacket, the hood has a nice cut to it, functional pockets, and this gear is QUIET!
Solidly built, highly functional pockets and hood coverage is great. Has great water wicking properties. Very warm given it's light weight. I have wore a Kiln underneath and has kept me plenty warm in low 40's temps. The only constructive criticism is I feel it could be a little tighter through the stomach/waist area. Although that space does provide room for a couple base/mid layers. Overall, fantastic do it all jacket.
