I have not used these when hiking yet, but like them so far. They look good, so says my husband!
I’m surprised these only have 3 stars from previous buyers. I LOVE them! My hubby purchased them for me without my knowing and I told him I need two of every color lol. The material is thin and breatheable and super comfy. I wear/wash these often, they have yet to show any signs of wear and tear.
I love these briefs. I was wanting a pair that fit comfortable and did not have to worry about them while I'm packing out. The larger hip band helps keep them from bunching up. The fabric is extremely breathable and light weight.
These do a great job wicking moisture, as a sweaty women I appreciate that. I was able to do everything I normally do without feeling gross or pulling a wedgie out every few mins.
I purchased these to prevent chaffing and saddle sores in my "e;uh humm"e; areas during a long backcountry trip. At the end of the 80-mile trip, I had zero pains "e;there"e;, which had never ever been the case on prior trips! The merino wool wicks moisture like crazy, and these undies are super duper ultralight as advertised. However, some fine-tuning needs to be done to make for "e;active"e; PEOPLE. Perhaps the undies themselves are way too active as they like to move a lot! When I got off my horse, I had a wedgie. (Pop...) Solved the problem. Took a couple steps....problem. Again, had to pick my butt (Pop..) when I felt nobody was watching. It was the start of a vicious cycle that lasted all day.Although I love First Lite and the IDEA of these undies (waist band is super comfy), perhaps they need to make these like boy shorts because they are so light and too active - in turn leaving you less active because of the frequency of butt picking. It is not going to stop me from wearing them in when chasing elk in a couple weeks though because I can pick my butt in front of my husband all day and not care - other than the minor inconvenience. However, being with a group of people for several days... The same inconvenience was much more annoying. I'm rooting for First Lite to bring back the women's boxer briefs or, better yet, turn these into boy shorts! Pleeeeeaaassseeee! Me no likey the wedgie....
