Men's Hybrid Sawtooth Vest

300g Merino-X with DWR Nylon

$155.00

Color/PatternFirst Lite Cipher

The Men's Sawtooth Hybrid Vest sets a new standard in versatility for western and treestand hunters alike. Re-engineering our hybrid technology into a vest configuration, the Sawtooth Hybrid Vest is an excellent layering option for the backcountry.

Oriented across the back, our 20.5 micron, midweight 300 Merino-X fabric provides, extreme odor resistance and breathable warmth, allowing for greater airflow where packs and tree trunks typically cause heat and moisture to build. DWR coated nylon panels provide critical durability and water resistance where you need it most--the chest and shoulders. Body-mapped to preserve core body temperature, we've added 60g 37.5 synthetic insulation behind the durable nylon panels in the chest for added insulation and wind resistance.

Worn as a light outer layer for brisk early season days or worn in conjunction with other outwear for added warmth on winter days, the Men's Sawtooth Hybrid Vest defines versatility as a cornerstone of the First Lite layering system.

Favorite FL Piece

I can't say enough about this vest! In short, it is probably my favorite piece of FL gear (as of now anyway), as it is extremely comfortable and cozy. Having a warm vest is great, easy to wear with a jacket in windy/cold temps and light enough to wear as an outer layer when it warms up.

Update to my July Review

I really enjoyed this vest and it performed flawlessly for me both during Archery and rifle season in upstate NY. During the mild temps of October, it was packable for to take the chill off. The vest is extremely light considering its thermal properties. It is also quiet with great pocket design. During this recent rifle season I hunted for 4-6 hours using this as an primary layer to keep my core warm without sweating on my approaches to my stand and once I was on station I was able to use this with my Woodbury Jacket for what was an ideal layering system for the temps (sub freezing temps in 25+ mph winds) I encountered. The Vest is versatile and worthy of being in anyone's kit.

Fit Comments: Perfect. Cut large enough to wear over base layers yet trim enough to wear as a mid layer with jacket over top. I like the smaller (relatively) cut arm holes. Keeps warmth in and also snug so there is not a lot of excess material under the arms which is perfect for drawing a bow silently.
The most versatile piece in my kit

When you first pull it out of the box it has an different feel/weight in the hand than other gear because of the combination of fabrics, material weights and how they are placed on the piece. That "e;different"e; feel/weight in the hand translates to very versatile comfort in the woods with the perfectly body mapped placement of the materials. Warmth where you need it, light weight and breathable where most effective. You can use this from early season to late season and wide ranging temps. I bow hunt primarily from treestands so often have long sits with not much exertion. You can get pretty cold even on moderate temp days especially if getting hot on the walk in and then cool off after inactivity in the stand. That's not a problem with this piece. It's been my outer layer in temps from the high 30s to low 50s worn over a long sleeve merino tee and Kiln 1/4 zip and been very comfortable while allowing wide range of motion and silence. In colder temps from teens to low 30s I use the same combo as above and add a heavier weight jacket over the top once I get on stand. Highly recommend and it will not disappoint.

Great Mid layer for October in Oregon

I wore this vest as mid layer while blacktail hunting in Oregon. I wore a merino base layer, the saw tooth vest and the corrugate guide jacket as a outer layer. The vest added the the perfect amount of warmth while sitting and watching the tree lines until dark. Usually hunted in temps between 40 and 50. Vest fits great and is light weight.
