I bought these shorts to use for both casual wear, fishing and some warm weather hunting. They have not disappointed! They are great at keeping everything underneath them dry, they flex where they need too, and they are comfortable enough to wear all day long. I'm a taller, skinnier fella so the mediums ran a bit loose in the waist but were perfect for length. After running them in the dryer once, they shrunk down just enough to give me the perfect fit. I see myself buying another pair in the future.
I've had the shorts now since the end of June and I can say that I really dig them. I practically lived in them when I was home for a while watching my little dude on paternity leave. I've used them as part of backpacking trips, scouting trips, or just around town. The fit is awesome and there's just enough "oomph" to the fabric not to rip immediately at the glance of a briar bush in the woods. One thing that was kind of a turnoff was being a lefty I like to put my wallet in my left hand butt pocket, which these shorts have none. Awesome, guess I'll just have a minor panic attack every time I go to reach for it. I'm also a little bigger for most of the other FL guys kicking around the mountain, so whether due to my laundry skills or my chubby thighs they started developing pills in the upper thigh/crotch area. These dudes have the comfort dialed in, just need a little work on durability -- or I could lose weight. Guess I'll get to hiking.
Sometimes I hate the fact that I appreciate great gear. This is a clear example. Absolutely, hands-down, best pair of shorts I've ever put on. Not even close. Ultra comfort, plenty of storage, lightweight, quick drying, ultra flexible in all directions, awesome fit. I feel like I'm ruined and must have more. $20 superstore shorts just aren't a comparison anymore. I'm typically a 36x32-34 in pants, so I opted for the large and these fit like nothing else I own. Highest recommendation.
I just got from an 8 day fishing trip up in Canada and these shorts were awesome. I took 2 pairs of these shorts with me and they were amazing! Perfect for fishing, hiking and boating. Super comfortable and extremely versatile for just about any outdoor activity. These are my go to shorts now! I'm going on a backpacking trip to the Smokey Mountains in a few weeks and you can bet these are going with me.
The most versatile and comfortable shorts I own. The stretch is perfect, and they dry fast. I'm usually a 34 inch waist--ordered a large--but I want a belt if I'm filling the pockets. For the weightlifters out there, you've finally found formfitting shorts that can handle your quads and rear. I ordered two pairs and need more after a weekend with my brothers. They seem to magically disappear around similarly-sized people.
