I run hot, and that becomes a problem in the mountain when you wake up cold but exert heavily throughout the day. Thie piece solves that problem wonderfully. I don't notice the zipper and the waist line is super comfortable. Perfect degree of tight vs loose fitting.
Worked well, fit was good. I wish these were around earlier. Very convenient!
Hunting this year in Idaho saw 50 degree swings in temperature from 25f in the morning to 75f+ I was able to take these off in seconds without having to take my boots off. These were worn for 14 days without them getting slimy or sticking to my legs even when sweating. Zippers were comfortable and went unnoticed while hiking.
I put 60 + days in these this season in YT as it was a cold and wet august/sept. The Fabric and Waistband never stretched out at all and I never noticed the zipper even when sleeping on my side. A much better upgrade from my kuiu zip off long johns.
I'm standing here on the side of the mountain typing this on a note in my phone. We stopped as a group to take off our baselayers before a big 1,000 vertical foot hike up the hill. In the time it is taking the other members of my hunt party to sit down, take off their boots, take off pants, take off their longjohns, and put their pants and boots back on - I had already dropped trow, zipped these things off, put them in my pack, ate a granola bar, and had enough time to pull out my phone and type this review. I will never buy another pair of non-zips. Even when hiking, I didn't get too sweaty in these. They keep me nice and toasty in low-40's in the morning and into the high-50's didn't get too hot.
These are soft on your skin, very lightweight and will be used in all seasons here in the southeast whether I'm hunting deer, turkey, small game or predators. Excellent base layer and I plan to layer them under the corrugate pants.
Not only are these super comfortable, they are warm as well! How many times when you’re hunting do you have to strip down to take off layers...not anymore! These are fantastic, no more having to sit there and fuss with all your gear, these are off in a flash and allow you get back to the whole reason you’re there, the hunt! When you’re hunting, timing is everything and this product allows you to crush the game. The zippers lay seamlessly flat and are not a bother at all. I would recommend these to any hunter, backpacker or outdoors-person because they allow you to enjoy the activity you are participating in.
These longjohns are so comfortable and easy to wear. I modeled them for my wife and asked her if I could just wear them to dinner. The combination of boot top length and zip off innovation may be the perfect longjohn.
I always hesitate to use baselayers on cool mornings, because I heat up quickly. The new Fuse Zip Offs are the solution. I can take them off quick without taking boots off. Money.
The zip offs will be great this fall. I love the boot top because I hate taking my boots off once they are on. I can zip these off with one hand as well. foolproof. perfect weight to warmth ratio. 10/10 would recommend. One thing i'm looking forward to testing is whether to zip off or pull down when I'm "flipping rocks". I will report back.
