I wear a mens 10.5 and the sock size L/XL was a tad on the big side. I do love the socks and they seem keep my feet less damp over a full day of wearing them. I plan on getting another pair but in the smaller size.
So I waited until I put some miles on these before I wrote a review and the short story is 5 star then and 5 star now. Elastic components still fit snug around the calf. No quit to be noticed. An excellent choice for mid/light weight performance sock.
Purchased these socks for daily field work and spring turkey hunting. They have held up excellently, and are very versatile. You can wear them on their own, or use them as liners for cold weather. My feet get fairly sweaty, yet these socks have minimal smell after a couple days of use.
I wore these with the aerowool boot top base layers to create a great pairing of temp regulating gear. I wore these socks as often as I could and was pleased with the fit and it remaining very true to original size, even after hunting for several days without being washed. I also walked around in them for approximately two hours stalking a small herd of elk. After the successful stalk, I had to retrieve my dropped gear and boots; the socks were covered in stickers and dirt, but after properly caring for them, they look and feel brand new!
I also wear these socks from time to time while working and find they work well in that capacity as well.
These socks are awesome and very versatile for varying temps. I have used them in mid to high 70s down into the mid 30s so far. They have not disappointed. I will be ordering more.
