Fits and feels great. I wear knee high socks , this helps so the bottom doesn’t ride up your leg.
I love the feeling of the material and overall warmth. I am not a huge fan of the boot cut, it bunches up very easily under the outer layer. So you end up with a 4 inch gap of no coverage. I am 6'1" and 180lbs, and the Medium seems way too big for me It is very baggy and bunches up easily.
When I first tried these on they seemed great. The material is a comfortable and warm and the legs extended down to about mid calf which is where I expected them to. However, when I took them out in the field, wearing them underneath my waterproof pants, the bottom crawled up to the lower part of my knee cap as I hiked. This left a 3 inch gap in between my socks and the kiln bottom. It was snowing so it was a bit chilly, and this left a cold section in the middle of my leg. I ended up changing into some other long johns when I got a chance. I am not sure if I need knee length socks, or maybe at 6'3" with a 33 inch waist I am too tall for this cut of base layer but I did not like the fit at all.
Great piece, Warm and comfortable. I do wish they were just a little long so I could use the with a shorter boot/sock combo. You can always roll them if you needed to make them shorter. I'm marking the fit as perfect because I believe they fit as intended.
