These shorts are everything I hoped for! I fell in love with the pants last fall during the early season so I gave these shorts a shot and I’m glad I did. Wore these on 3 separate hikes so far and I’m ready to buy another pair in a different color
I ordered these according to the size table, and they're a bit big, but not so much that I want to deal with sending them back. Next pair I'll order one size smaller. Features, fabric, etc, are all very good. Super comfy, good amount of stretch. I'm excited to try these in the pants version sometime soon.
One critique: I haven't had an elastic waist band on pants (other than sweat pants) since I was about 7. Ditch that when you look at a redesign. Everything else is perfect.
As with everything First Lite does, these shorts are extremely well thought out. The unique waistband makes for an unrestricted fit. They’re not baggy at all, but the give in the material allows for full range of movement. Lightweight and durable
The stretch of the fabric and the overall fit of these shorts has me wanting to have a pair for everyday in the summerZ
Finally pulled the trigger on a couple pairs. Worn them for everything from hiking to fishing and am glad I got them. Very happy with how quickly they dry out in the field. Seem to be just as bomb proof as the pants.
I bought these shorts because I really like my corrugate guide pants. I absolutely love these shorts. I bought them in grey and conifer originally but I ended up by dry earth too. I considered getting the guide lites but I knew the corrugates fit perfect and I am a fan of the elastic waist band because I can carry my off duty ccw more comfortably. I am size 35 in the waist and the large fits perfectly.
I recently purchased a pair of these shorts, and am completely unimpressed. After only 2 weeks of very light usage, basically loafing around the house and doing a little yard work, they are showing significant pilling and degradation. I can't imagine how they would hold up if I were actually using them in outdoor adventures. I really wanted to like and recommend this garment, but would advise others to save their hard earned cash.
Bought these shorts because I was going on a family vacation to Disney World! That's right Disney World! I walked around for 4 days wearing 2 different pairs of shorts, alternating shorts of course. I walked on average 5 miles and then all the standing in line these shorts blew me away. I'm 5'10" 245 lbs. and an XL fit great no sag and fit right on the hips where shorts should. These shorts are of high quality and looking forward to getting the pants.
I love my guide shorts and wear them constantly. Uber comfortable, perfect length and they allow me to stow year in the side pockets. I have noticed some pilling of material but they do get a lot of use!
I purchased this shorts sometime in May, before moving from OR to CA. I must say that they are my "ride or die" pair of shorts now. I wear them pretty much daily from school to the range to hunting in SO Cal.
at the beginning, I thought the elastic band was unnecessary, but now I love it. it allowed me to easily conceal my CCW in OR without having that uncomfortable feeling of a regular pants or shorts hip band. The zipper side pocket is great, the groin stretch part is a must in my opinion and this shorts are nothing short of it.
I would totally buy another pair!
