I got these pants as my first hunting pants that I bought on my own, I’m 18 and in college, so they have some living up to do yet, but we have this one property we whitetail hunt and I got these pants with the idea that I would be using them in the thick prickery crap that I hated going through with the paper pants I first got when I was 14. I did buy them a size larger so I could layer up if i wanted to for some northern early rut hunts. So far so good, went out in them twice and I didn’t get pricker or pulled back, I’ll also be testing them in the Green and Adirondack mountains later this year and for, hopefully, the rest of my life.
One of my favorite aspects of this pant is how similar it’s fits and looks to your normal pair of jeans. This is it doesn’t have any of the fancy pockets many other outdoor pants have, just your typical two front and two back. Which I love. The dual panels on the front are quiet do not make extra noise as you’re busting through brush. I initially thought I would be using this pant for Eastern Montana mule deer and bird, but I like the fit so much you’ll find me chasing early rifle Elk or spring bear.
First off these are the most comfortable brush pants I have ever owned. I usually run hot anyways, but these do a good job of keeping me at a comfortable temp on early season hunts and when I'm covering a lot of ground. Movement in these pants are great and keep you comfortable while your beating brush in rough terrain. The fit is good although the inseam on mine were not a true 30" they were a hair over 31". Nothing to cry about as I will be hemming them to my liking, but something to be aware of. As it's been said before, I was expecting some Corrugate Guide pants layered with the nylon shell. That's not really the case , as these pants are their own critter. The Corrugate Guide pants have a lot of stretch in their waste line and these do not, so if you would like a bit of a looser fit, I would recommend going up one size. That being said, there was plenty of room in the waist left room for a good nights meal of whatever critter you happened to bag that day.
Perfect fit and multipurpose use. These are my new favorite pants. From busting brush, to walking through the turkey woods, even holding up during the early season NY goose season, these pants do it all. I wear them for everything. Very pleased with the durability and versatility.
Haven't used them in the field yet, but they feel awesome in the living room. Quality appears pretty solid as well. Fit feedback says they fit slightly small. I thought mine fit true to size. I wear 32 jeans and bought a 34 thinking they would run smaller and that wasn't the case. I dont mind the extra room as it will allow me to layer easier later in the year.
