Ordered the items as a solid base layer, and warm weather hunts. Fits great, with good ventilation to wick the sweat off. Only part I’m not a huge fan of is how tight the hood is when sliding it over my head. Once it’s on however it fits perfectly over whatever hat I’m wearing. Overall a solid product
I was very happy with the Wick hoody bow hunting elk in CO this past September, which was a warm one. Perfect combination of breathability and coverage for warmer days hunting. I wore this as a base layer under the sawtooth jacket every morning I hunted. After three straight days and 22 miles of hiking the shirt still didn't stink. The medium fit me perfectly, my only grip is that the hood opening was a bit tight for putting the hood on and off. Once on it was a good snug fit, but I have to take my hat off with the hood because the opening is on the small side. Maybe a bit of stretch to the hood opening would solve this issue. Overall great layering piece.
I did a 9 day back country hunt in southern Colorado I encountered all elements rain snow sleet hail etc. This product performed really well kept me warm and was able to dry out fairly easy. Scent control was also very good keeping body Oder to a minimum we had many close 5yrd encounters with elk. Very satisfied.
I film/photograph hunting for a living and need minimal amounts of gear that cover a large range of conditions. The hoodie is perfect for hot weather and keeping the sun off your neck. I use it in early mule deer and whitetail season to keep the sun off of my neck as well and in late turkey season when mid day temps rise above 80
I don't think the wick hoody needs anymore praise, everyone knows this is the best there is. 365 days a year this should be worn. It's the base layer when I'm layered up for the deep cold on a late season treestand sit, or my only top on a 100 degree July fly fishing day on the water. It really is the most solid piece of clothing I own.
This is so comfortable its not even funny, The material is perfect for here in NC as either an outer layer when its warm or a base when its cold.
I need merino base layers for scent control because deodorant makes me break out. After trying other cheaper brands, it’s easy to see why FL is more expensive. Not itchy, doesn’t smell, wicks moisture, and on and on. The extra cash is more worth it.
This hoody was great for an early morning hike in, glassing in the sun, and remaining comfortable all day. It wicked very well and dried quickly. Love that the hood forms around your head and to the brim of your hat. Can keep the hood on all day to protect you from the sun without overheating. This hoody kept me hunting hard.
Couldn’t be more please with this first lite item. Perfect base layer and good for early season hunts without sweating walking to you stand in the morning. Love the hood how it forms to your head and doesn’t fall off or turn when twisting your head around looking for movement in the woods. Highly recommend this product.
I picked up this hoody for the 2020 hunting season. I was looking for a lightweight hoody I could use for the morning chill. The hoody worked well over a base layer. The only netural product feedback I have is with the hood. It's fine when you are wearing a hat. If you are not wearing a hat the hood does feel somewhat constricting. It was not a huge deal to overcome and get use to but, something to consider. I would still recommend this product.
