Perfect midseason base

I love these for midseason activities. They excel when temps range from 40-55 degrees. Love the hoodie for preventing sunburn and providing a little extra warmth when needed.

My go to hoody

I wear it around the house, out in the garden, and tested it for spring gobblers. It’s breathable, warm and down right perfect. I went with an XL for the longer sleeves and it was spot on. Kept me warm on cool, damp spring mornings and I can’t wait to bust it out for whitetail. Best mid weight top I’ve ever had.

Great Hoody!

This is my go to for mid to late season whitetail. I will probably end up buying a second one because I use it so often. Comfortable, warm, and quiet. Throw on a neck gaiter with this hoody and you will disappear into the woods.

Outstanding Product and Company

The men’s Kiln Hoodie has surpassed my every expectation. It truly keeps you warm in cold climates and cool in warm climates. It’s comfortable and built to last decades. I have never used a product that worked so well. It creates an ideal situation where the hunter doesn’t have to worry about comfort in the field and can focus solely on the hunt. This garment is THE MOST COMFORTABLE thing I own. The fit is true to size and can be worn as an against the skin layer, middle layer, or top layer. Truly a versatile garment that you need to add to your kit. I hunt in the Southeast US. mainly where the temps and weather can vary wildly day to day, and being prepared for all contingencies is a must. Do yourself a favor and BUY THIS AWESOME PRODUCT.

Never Taking It Off

My wife: “Are you seriously going to wear that for a third day in a row?”
Me: “Yes. Don’t judge me. It’s the most comfortable thing I have ever worn.”
My wife: “Do they have different colors?”
Me: YES!

The perfect piece of gear I never knew I needed

I ordered the kiln hoody in Fusion after a buddy recommended it to me. He told me the merino wool is unlike anything else, and that I would love how lightweight, comfortable, and adaptable it is to a wide range of temperatures. I took his advice half-heartedly, I'll admit. But after purchasing the kiln hoody, I started to believe that First Lite had something good here. After running the hoody through its paces during winter, I'm still shocked at how well the merino locks in heat. It doesn't seem possible that a piece of clothing as light and thin as the kiln is able to retain so much body heat, even in sub freezing temperatures. And, as advertised, it even performs exceptionally well when wet. I was grateful to have it during late season waterfowl hunts on the western side of the Cascades. Of course, it works better when dry. So using it in conjunction with rain gear is wise.
The kiln, as with any other wool clothing, is not made to bust through brush. Himalayan blackberry will wreak havoc on merino wool. But when used properly, this piece of gear will help you stay in the field longer. If you have to choose one piece of First Lite gear, this is a good option.

great layer

The Kiln proved to be a perfect midweight layer for cooler days in the woods. I wore this mostly bow hunting under a Sawtooth jacket, the medium fit me perfectly. Wore it under a heavier down jacket rifle hunting in November and also worked perfectly. Comfortable, warm, breathable, no stink, good fit, overall does exactly what it is supposed to.

Tall Guys Get a Win

I am 6'6" and I purchased this in XXL, and it fits. Finally I can stop wearing military surplus poly pros and have something lightweight and warm.

I can’t get enough of the Kiln hoodie. Perfect for daily use at home and in the woods. Such a beautiful piece that works well in the garage while sweeping the floor or skinning deer. Seriously versatile in any condition. Love it!

AWESOME for layering

I film/photograph hunting for a living and need minimal amounts of gear that cover a large range of conditions. I used the hoodie all season to layer under my klamath hoodie during whitetail and under a puffy out west. The merino is soft and super durable
