Awesome jacket with quiet material. Does not restrict movement in any way!
I recently purchased this jacket to go along with the matching pants. The jacket and pant combo is a great mid to late season combo. I absolutely love the kit link integration with the pants! The fit and material is top notch as is usual with First Lite gear. You will not be disappointed with this purchase.
Fits great little tight in the forarm area
Man, I love the pockets on this thing. Having the bibs and the jacket are great together. The jacket is a bit thicker than I thought it would be but I guess nothing will ever be perfect. Other than that (which isn’t a big deal) it’s great! I’m excited to use it this deer season and it seems like durable material. I originally got a Large but I did t like how long it was. The jacket came down past my butt touching my leg. I returned for a medium and it’s great!
This was my first First Lite purchase and I'm hooked! I bought this jacket in October of 2019. I used it in north central Wyoming for a mule deer hunt in mid-October. It was a great outer layer for the brisk mornings (high 20's/low 30s) as well as glassing from the hilltops with a decent wind. I also used this in northwest Wisconsin hunting whitetails in November and early December with the temps in the teens and brisk winds. It's super quiet and the XL fits perfectly. I'm 6'3", 225 and the sleeves aren't too short like other brands I've had. I don't have much more room than a couple thin base layers underneath. Great product!
From someone who knows first hand about being cold while hunting, this is one of the best kits around. I used it all mid - late season last year and never got cold. The bibs that go with this jacket are a game changer too. The KitlInk pass thorugh pockets that go right to the warm pocket of the bibs are awesome! Your hands will never get cold. I used this system in temps around 4F, and I was snugg as a bug out there. I am 5'11 and 198lbs and the L was a perfect fit even with a few base layers on underneath.
This system rocks!! I used it from late October in Missouri bow hunting until the end of January in Wisconsin. It can get warm depending on how far you hike in but you can open up a few zippers and combat that. It did awesome in the pouring rain and even better in a freezing rain storm I got caught in while on public land in Missouri. It’s quiet enough to spot and stalk through the woods While being sturdy enough to not rip apart if you find yourself cutting through a few rose bushes. Whether sitting on the ground, in a tree stand, or blazing my own trail it held up great and I would highly recommend. During my Wisconsin hunts from gun season to late January bow season I was warm with minimal extra layers underneath. It’s a must have weapon to add to a Whitetail hunter’s arsenal!
I purchased the solitude suit and could not be more happy with it. The design and integration of the jacket and bibs is outstanding. I wore this for lare season whitetails in southwestern ontario with a good base layer and I was toasty warm. It made my late winter afternoon sits much more comfortable. I opted for this suit as I could wear it mid to late season with proper layering.
I researched a lot of different gear before purchasing the jacket and bib set. I really like the pass through pockets. The jacket fits over the bibs well, and the set give plenty of room for more layer if necessary. I haven’t had a chance to test it in cold weather, but based on the weight and fill, I’m sure it will out perform my expectation.
Live in Western NY. Got this jacket as a holiday gift and have been finding reasons to wear it as often as I can! While I haven't been in the tree stand with it yet, it's passed all other tests with flying colors. From general winter use to fly fishing for early spring steelhead, this is a MUST HAVE. Paired with a Kiln hoodie, you'll be set for late fall, winter, and early spring. I've worn this fly fishing in single digits and kept me comfortable. Also, the vents allow you to easily dump heat if you get too warm. Today it was 55 on the river, and I was totally comfortable with the vents open and front partially unzipped. No need for bulky layers underneath as it fits pretty snug. For archery - the sleeves are fitted perfectly to avoid getting in the way of my bow string. Although, when zipped all the way up, the collar does get in the way. I need to fold the collar down or at least make sure it's out of the way before getting to full draw. Other than that minor unexpected hiccup, I absolutely love this jacket! I can't wait to get the bibs to finish the set!
