This jacket is very well thought out. I have always struggled with the weight of a softshell and the space it takes up and then adding a down/synthetic layer and a rain jacket to your load out. This jacket is a thin softshell. This jacket has a generous cut to layer your insulation under and is thin enough to not shed to put on a rain shell. The thinness of this jacket is not a detriment. It is what softshell hunting jackets should be. It cuts the wind and works great for those warm early season western bow hunts and it fits easily with room to move over your insulation layer for a mid season mountain hunt. While saying that, I will add a caveat that you do not want to add the warmest thermal layer under it, as hiking in a down/insulated jacket is not ideal, but the uncompahgre is fantastic for a system that includes the corrugate jacket. A solid base and mid layer with this jacket will keep you comfortable in most western conditions until you reach that "no fairweather hunters" limit in the mountains. Add in a good insulating layer and a shell for back up and you will be hunting long after the fairweather hunters hunker down in camp.
Jacket perfect for damp weather. Did some hiking in Hawaii with it and rain can come anytime. Glad I brought this item.
Took the corrugate jacket on an Arizona archery hunt. Perfect piece for the the hunt and weather. I continue to be amazed at how water/wind resistant and quiet the material is. Used with a base and mid layer I was very comfortable in temperatures ranging from 30-70 degrees. I wear a small and am able to shoot a trad bow without string contact on the sleeve. I am very happy with this jacket.
Much lighter than I expected, and I had my doubts when I unboxed it but I am quickly falling in love with this little jacket. Don't go dragging it through the bushes or anything but so far the protection it offers it exceptional. Great at blocking wind , light rain runs right off it, and it dries incredibly fast. I'll be buying another one soon.
Love the jacket its windproof and durable and somewhat waterproof. Makes for a great outer layer in early an mid fall or early spring but could be a better fit runs big and baggy.
