Same as the Kyle below

I wanted to love these, the leather palm and merino back make for a really versatile heavy duty piece of gear. But my goodness does the thumb suck! Way too tight. Feels like a finger trap constricting it. And I have to agree with the webbed comment below as well. My length is medium, my width is large, I got both sizes to compare and they both experience the same webbed feeling. Almost like I have to rip the material to give a thumbs up. First lite needs to do some tweaking with these gloves to make them perfect.

Good glove, small thumb

I love the dexterity these gloves have and using my phone with them on is actually much easier than I thought it would be. I used them goose hunting last weekend and had no problem loading my shotgun, shooting, grabbing shells, calling, or screwing around with my blind bag. The only complaint that I and other people seem to have is the thumb is short. My hands measure 7 3/4" long, 3 1/2" wide, and 8 1/2" circumference which fits squarely in the small size. I ordered smalls and couldn't spread my hand all the way open. FL exchanged them no problem for mediums, but they are still a little tight when spreading my hand open. Still very usable though, and the other fingers fit just fine.

Thumb is bad.

I can't think of any other way to describe the way the material fits in the thumb to palm transition other than bad. My first pair had one glove that was quite a bit worse than the other, the replacement pair was more consistent. These should have never been released, or should be advertised as a semi-webbed glove. Everything else about the glove is fantastic, but there's no way that anyone tried this sample on before production and gave it a thumb's up.

great glove one small issue

Lets start off with this is a incredible glove. Super comfortable with amazing dexterity. Now there is one review on these already about the thumb not having enough material and this is true. In a relaxed half closed position the fit is fine but if you go to open your hand fully as if to "palm a basketball" there is a lack of leather in the transition area from the palm to thumb region.resulting in a fairly significant restriction in the ability to fully open your hand up and then impedes dexterity and comfort. the fit of the large is perfect accross my fingers, wrist, upper palm and everything else and am hesitant to up to a XL

My go-to utility hunting glove

I have been using the Shale Hybrid (haven't had the chance for the touch yet) for the last year. They have became my utility colder type hunting glove. Last year I wore them in a variety of applications ranging from cool and windy mornings glassing to crawling through sage flats chasing antelope in late August. The leather is incredibly soft (think tanned rabbit hide vs new baseball glove) and yet very strong.
