This thing is going to be a key piece of gear this fall in the whitetail woods. Works great as both an outer layer or as a layering piece and I plan to use it as both. I recommend this to anyone that is looking for high quality hunting clothing. I definitely plan on buying more first lite gear before the season gets here.
Great hoody, super versatile and lightweight. Can cover a really wide temperature range and combined with the ridgeline pull over I've been comfortable in a lot of varying conditons.
Whether it’s hunting or everyday use, this is my favorite piece of clothing. It’s soft, wicks sweat, keeps you just warm enough on mild days and works as a perfect base layer.
I bought the Kiln hoodie in, FL Fusion, size Large, a couple weeks ago. This was originally intended for use during a backcountry whitetail hunt I have planned for this November, but I brought it along on a scouting trip last weekend. I'm 6' tall and 200lb and I found the fit to be perfect. The garment is well built and I'm a big fan of the FL Fusion camo pattern. We were dealing with temperatures in excess of 35C, so I did not use the garment through the middle of the day, but things cooled down to about 12C in the evening and I found it to be a great option for keeping warm, while hiking in the hills, as well as once we stopped to camp. I think this will be a great piece, paired with the Uncompahgre puffy, for going from high activity to sitting, during my deer hunt this fall. It'll also get a lot of use as a base layer in my waterfowl kit as well. So far very happy with this garment.
I have a 43 inch chest and A 30 inch waist, the sizing guide recommends a large based on the chest measurement. However, I wear medium shirts and prefer an athletic fit. I ordered the medium and it fits perfect not too tight not too loose. It layers over the fuse crew perfectly.
