This is the do it all hunting jacket. It can withstand the rain (within reason), and does a great job cutting the wind while also remaining breathable. If utilized with a base layering system, can easily serve as a great outer layer.
I have not had a chance to use this jacket yet, but it looks great and fits great. I really appreciate that the sleeves are a little longer than most shirts and jackets because that is often an issue for me. I'm about 6' and 180 lbs and a medium fits really well. This jacket is very lightweight and fits great both over and under my Uncompahgre 2.0 puffy jacket. I look forward to using it this fall to chase elk and pheasants in Colorado.
Bought this jacket for an early season elk hunt in Oklahoma. This jacket was perfect for the cool mornings and evenings. Not only was this jacket comfortable but also very tough and worked very well keeping me dry during an unexpected rain shower in the middle of the 3rd day. After my elk hunt was over I used this jacket during deer archery into late October where the temps got to the mid 40s and helped block wind. It was great for active hunting and I never got sweaty while hiking in and out. The fit was perfect with great stretch, the athletic cut fit snug in the arms, it was silent, and the zippers were easy to operate exactly what I was looking for in an archery jacket.
I was worried when I purchased this jacket online not being able to try it on. Now I am happy that I did bite the bullet. This jacket fits perfectly.
I bought a large hoping it wouldn't be to large and it isn't! I am about 205 lbs, 6'3 tall and the large fits perfectly. It also fits perfectly with my Klamath base layer underneath. I have long octopus arms and this jacket is no way to short!
The jacket is light but durable, I wont be worried walking through the thorny bush where we hunt turkeys. I think this is a great jacket to have, I would love another one in a solid color just to go about my business around town.
This jacket is both light and warm. I am surprised how warm this jacket keeps me especially for the weight. blocks wind like you wouldnt believe but isnt the most breathable. Its also tough as nails I use it for work on the range all the time.
