Could not be happier. They were great at 80 degrees all the way down to cold 20 degree morning chasing bugles in September. I've even been wearing them deer hunting back home in Arkansas. Will never buy anything else but first lite.
Can’t say enough about these pants, so amazingly comfortable. Wish they came in more colors I would buy them all. Using them primarily for archery elk hunting in Oregon, beating brush all day in hot temps they are as durable as you could hope for while still being tough. I wouldn’t call these perfect but they’re the closest I’ve found.
Fit me perfect. Excellent stretch allows for maneuverability. Paired with a base layer and kept me warm down to 20 degrees with wind.
No nicks or pulled thread from hours of trudging through undergrowth and sagebrush.
Paired mine with the suspenders. Fantastic quality.
I purchased these pants for an elk hunting trip in northern Alberta this past fall. I have been very pleased with the quality of the clothes I have bought from First Lite in the past, but these pants have been a huge disappointment. They were comfortable and a good weight for the early fall trip. However after six days (130km) of hiking through the bush the pants are ruined. The fabric, on any portion of the pants that rubbed on the under-growth, has become balled and degraded. Although the pants did not wear right through the fabric is unfortunately so fragile that it is NOT made for hunting. If your style of hunting only involves driving around in your truck or sitting in a tree stand these would be great pants. If you expect your gear to stand up to hiking through the bush, these are NOT the pants for you. The fabric of these pants is not able to handle the rigors of real hunting!
Just returned from a NM elk hunt and used the corrugate pant everyday! Temps were high 20's - low 30's at sunrise and topped out in the mid 60's at mid-day and these pants were perfect. Lucky enough to harvest an awesome bull right after sun up on the second day which required a pack out of around 1 1/2 miles. Heavy loads and rough country made for a long day wading through the cactus and brittle oak brush but these pants stood up without so much as a pull in the fabric. Now that I'm home the whitetail season is about to start and Ill be using them as a comfortable layer under my bibs. I plan to add a couple more pair to my collection before next season!
