I've got several pieces of FL gear, and this is by far my favorite and most versatile layer. Really warm for its light, thin build. I run hot, so need to hike in as cold as I can stand it to not sweat. I'll wear the Klamatah with a wicking T Shirt underneath in temps in the low 20s and be shockingly comfortable. And it's so comfortable with the soft stretch fabric, I wear it around the house way too much. If I had any concerns (to make this review more trustworthy), I'm wondering how the stitched seams will hold up. I can see them starting to "fuzz" a bit in places where they rub on other layers. Really strong-looking stitch, so suspect I'm ok. I took a big gulp on the price before buying this as a guy who can't afford to miss...it's absolutely worth the price. Tucking some $ away to buy another one.
This is an awesome shirt. I wear it paired with the 250g quarter zip Kiln on cold mornings while still hunting and moving to and from my stand. No complaints and it fits great.
As y’all may know... Texas is pretty warm. I used this jacket on those early morning dove hunts at the beginning of September. It keeps you warm but you hardly ever sweat. My school for some reason keeps the a/c at 65 degrees so I guess I have tested it in your early season climate. For me it’s our early/mid/late if it’s a warm winter. If there is anything that you can take from this review is that it is mighty warm. I really like the fusion pattern. It blends pretty well with our live oaks and cedars. The length of the sleeves are kinda long but I don’t have problems with it bunching up around the wrists. this is going to be on me every time I hunt this year. Wish all y’all the best of luck this year!
I absolutely love this fleece. Lightweight, but warm. Especially when stationary as an added piece of insulation on top of light baselayers and under a puffy. I don't get chilled at all. I wear this hunting and also around town in the winter. It is quiet as can be, as expected. Also it doesn't constrict my arm movement at all and is great for fit with my broad shoulders over other base layers. The length is great too, it isn't too long and not too short. I can bend over without plumbers crack or exposing skin in cold temps. I like the ability to pop the collar up and have that as added protection when windy as well in the open country. Zero complaints about this product.
I have a large chest and upper arms which causes me to have fit issues with most clothing companies. The L fit my chest and arms well, not too tight and fit my torso perfectly. Only problem with the fit is that the sleeves are 3 -4 inches too long. For reference I am a measured 33 inch sleeve and this goes past my finger tips by a couple inches .I will be getting the sleeves shortened up to complete the fit.
I have worn a few times in cooler evenings and it is very warm for its weight. Perfect for staying warm and not adding bulk.
