Perfect fit, very warm and comfortable. Thanks to Paul Peterson at First Lite for all of his help!
Bought this hoody with the obsidian merino pants, and the mid weight neck gaiter.
Was turkey hunting in PA opening day, about 42 degrees out cold enough to be alittle chilly on the mountain where I hunt, all I had on was the pants and just a pair of boxers underneath, up top just a compression shirt and the hoody. I could feel the air moving through the clothes but it wasn’t cold. I also wasn’t to hot either. It was like perfect set of hunting clothes I’ve always wanted. Had a decent hike in, the high was 68 degrees. Was out till noon which was the final hour you can hunt till here. Still had all the gear on and they breathe so well I was extremely impressed. I was never to hot or to cold. Perfect body temp, especially hiking in on a 65 degree slop for about a mile and a half. I plan to get more of the first lite gear. I must top notch 100%
Just bought this for the early spring turkey season here in Michigan this year we ended up getting snow and some rain so far. This has been a great top layer while moving and scouting for birds as well as a nice layer under a coat during rainfall. Worth the money if your in the outdoors often.
I had been looking at FL gear since last fall when the seasons ended. Purchased just in time for spring turkey season and got to try it out. Incredibly comfortable and a good fit. Wore all weekend long and have no complaints. I will definitely buying other colors to add to my collection.
just wore this think turkey hunting with just a vest over it. Day started out at 30F with snow on ground and by midday it was in the 50s. Felt comfortable for all of it whether sitting by a tree or stalking through the woods. The hood is great, fits well and am able to wear a ball cap under it. Will work great for deer season archery and firearm.
