Best bit of gear I have gotten from first light! Wicks moisture away quickly and is surprisingly warm for a light under layer! Highly recommend any of the underlayers by first lite

Performed unbelievably in temps between 35-75 degrees

Wore the Wick Quarter Zip for 7 days for my September Colorado elk hunt. Worked great as a next to skin base layer in the morning and when the temps heated up unzipped to keep me cool. Very impressed with how it performed in the various temperatures and even more impressed with the durability. Through all of the thick brush and blowdown no snags, rips, or tears noted! Would recommend this piece to anyone.

Stinky merino

I’m not a heavy sweater and don’t have BO issues however, I have worn the wick quarter zip for going on two seasons and will never wear it again because it stinks like BO. No matter how I wash it or what detergent I use the arm pits stink. Just pulled it out of the washer for the third time and one hand washing in the sink and I can still smell BO in the arm pits. The first edition areowool did not have this issue nor does any synthetic I’ve worn or even cotton poly blend tee shirts just the wick quarter zip.

Perfect Base Layer for Everything Between >40-95+

Merino wicks and prevents the funk growth, while the strategic mesh placement and quarter-zip allows ventilation when you need it. In warm weather chest zip down and sleeves pushed up. In cooler weather you can chest zip down when backpacking a heavy load, then zip back up (and add a layer if necessary) when stopped, spotting, etc. In cool weather it's the best way to keep from overheating (and sweating) when you're burning calories. Running around the desert or as a base layer on a cool mountain top morning, I love it.
